This is a special Out of Towner...we have someone that is actually not even from the States. Rochelle Jordan is a dope singer/songwriter from Canada and does R&B. Go figure I'm posting an album from an artist that is neither L.A. nor Hip Hop. But who cares when it's talent. Talented singer/songwriter Rochelle Jordan, who was born in England, but moved to Canada at the young age of 4. Addicted to TV talent shows such as Star Search and video tapes of Micheal Jackson, was already plotting out her career in music at age 13. To Rochelle, the 1990’s was the real Music and she really wanted to be apart of this movement. When she turned 16, She Formed a group with her cousin for about a year called “2nd level.” Due to unorganized management and false promises, the group fell apart and Rochelle stopped singing for a couple years, but continued to write. Being at the right place at the right time at the age of 19, Rochelle found herself conversing with a producer named d10 who was at the time producing for Drake who got her a gig singing back up for Canada’s pop R&B artist “Keisha Chante.” Thats when everything for RoJo started taking fold. She was taken more seriously and she was getting calls for more background singing. She Shortly after Put a band together “Intheroy” and Started doing small shows around Toronto. After a while Things became slow again so She decided to through some video’s up on youtube. That is when she got a email from LA area Music Producer Klash, who had seen her videos. The production Company that Klash works for, Protostar Entertainment promptly had the singer flown to Los Angeles To record for weeks at a time. Since working with Klash, Rochelle has written numerous songs amongst them a Tyra Banks Reality show theme song, and she has also been tapped to write with fellow Canadian Drake. She is now being scouted by several labels so in order to show herself an true artist in todays internet era Rochelle is putting out her own ep titled "A L I E N P H A S E" a work that took 14 months to finish, its a collective of songs about enjoying your life and some of the feelings that trying to do just that may bring. "each song is like an emotion we have all felt at some point and time" states music producer Klash "we hope you like it"
