So over the holiday weekend I needed to find a mexican spot that was open late...but had a bar. Wanted something away from the Hollywood scene so I nixed the idea of La Cantina on Hollywood Blvd. So it was off to La Cabana near Venice Beach. On Rose just off Lincoln, I'd passed this spot many a times heading to the Promenade and Venice Beach before. Noticed it said it was open til 3 daily but never checked it out (and I'm a Mexican food fiend). Aja had told me the spot was good...so I finally went. My enchiladas were good, they offer a choice of table salsas to go with the complementary chips (some salsas are a dollar extra, but not a hassle). The margaritas were potent considering the price. The menus are just long enough for a variety, but short enough to not leave you overwhelmed. For more details go here.
EATS: La Cabana
