GOOD FOOD - The Kress

So part of the reason I've been slacking with the blog this week is because of last Sunday. It started with this new feature for Eazee Street...Good Food aka Step Ya Food Game Up. I won't get into the drama of later this day, it's all about how the night started and how this feature came to be. Basically, I'll look to highlight once a week a new or just stylish restaurant with fresh ambience and GOOD Food. The initial pick was The Kress (6608 Hollywood Blvd), an Asian Fusion restaurant created by Michael Viscuso. He specializes in freshness. I don't eat sushi but I was offered some by my partner in crime Aja...and I must say it was awesome. I had their salmon which was off the hook. All the food was fresh and sauces and spreads were made from scratch (example; the wasabi). Our server Marvin and the manager Brian were great. The drinks were awesome too...i had the Kressential and the Berrinade (I think thats what it was called), Aja (of the House of Pretty) had the 46 which was nice, and Candy ordered the Lovely (with an edible Lilac for garnish). Look up The Kress Hollywood to find all sorts of fantastic writeups for this spot. Not only is it a great restaurant but it's a 4 story experience. A rooftop patio, a 2 level restaurant, and club in the basement (with champagne bar in the women's restroom). We missed the opening by a day (that's right it opened up July 12th, I was there on the 13th, invited on July 11th) which included Nas, Kelis, JD, Janet Jackson and other A List celebs. If you go on an event day, you must show with at least 2 girls per guy or be prepared to splurge on a table. However a simple date on a lowkey day is just as good. Now you know why I brought the two above... 2 girls 1 guy... soon u'll understand...
