I've always had an interest in Absolut campaigns and their artistic influence on pop culture just as well as their continued desire to bridge art and the brand. With that said check this out:
The Absolut company officially connected with the art world in 1985. That year Andy Warhol painted “Absolut Warhol,” which became the first of the brands art advertisements.
For the first time ever, the entire collection is now gathered in Sweden where it will get its permanent home at the new Historical Museum of Wine and Spirits. In 2012, the museum will move into new premises at Djurgården in Stockholm, with the Absolut Art Collection as a new offering to its visitors.
The ABSOLUT Art Collection today compromise more than 800 works in a wide range of media from Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Kenny Scharf, Helmut Newton, Damien Hirst, Louise Bourgeois, Annie Liebovitz, David Shrigley, Douglas Gordon, Sylvie Fleury, Dan Wolgers, Linn Fernström and hundreds of other artists, designers and photographers.
