PROBLEM - AMERICA (MUSIC VIDEO) from BARON DAVIS' "MADE IN AMERICA: BLOODS & CRIPS" MOVIE SOUNDTRACK

A controversial song/video that I was given way earlier this year, maybe last year but was told to pull before many folks were able to see it.  Well it's back in rotation as Street Goddess sent this over a few days ago.  Problem makes some relevant points on the song no matter how raw he gives it to you...but as we all know, we do have freedom of speech.  Peep it out.

CRIPS & BLOODS - MADE IN AMERICA by STACY PERALTA

Like i said, I cover all aspects of the city. Shoes, clubs, fast cars, fashion and music are a big part of our lifestyle and contribution to the world, but we are also a major influence in the gang culture. It may not be the best lifestyle, but it is something we heavily contributed to mainstream culture as it has influenced music, fashion and slang across the nation and even the world. So I was surfing HypeBeast the other day and saw some of those images and realized, damn I grew up over there, so of course I took interest in finding out more:
Stacy Peralta known for his involvement in the skate culture and directorial involvement for Dogtown & Z-Boys delves into Los Angeles gang culture to document it. Baron Davis (of the Clippers) and Steve Luczo handle production while Forest Whitaker takes the narrative duties to bring you a gritty look into lifestyle and its impact. Showing between February 6-12 at the Laemmle's Sunset 5 in Hollywood and a couple dates in NY this is worth going to check out. For more info go to www.MadeInAmericaTheMovie.com
