DOLLA : R.I.P. 1 YEAR LATER...

A young man killed way too soon...his strong ties to our city touched many of the artists you listen to from Los Angeles today.  This day last year the young man was gunned down at the Beverly Center.  A tragedy; as far as the suspect that was arrested, I have no idea what his ultimate outcome will be, but many people in our city are waiting to see what becomes of it.  Shouts to Skeme and Cire to name a couple of the people who knew him as family, while the general public may only know him as the rapper named Dolla.

FOR MY 3,950TH POST...SOME REAL SHIT via LIL WAYNE (VIDEO)

Though I'm not into comparing tragedies and I think the idea of people caring for others is something to be proud of, this is still a valid point.  I don't agree nor do I disagree with what Wayne has to say here...but considering where he is from, I highly respect his statement and applaud him for using his platform to say it.  Watch the video clip and let me know what you think (in the comments or via Twitter).

ANOTHER EARTHQUAKE ROCKS HAITI AS RELIEF IS EN ROUTE...

As a huge U.S. Navy ship touched down at the island of Haiti with much medical aid and more people power a 6.0 aftershock ripped through Haiti.  With plenty of structural damage, injuries and a rising death toll you know this wasn't good for the island.  With this much seismic activity you can only wonder if things will have a chance to really improve.  4,000 more troops are on the way which should bring the total of service people near 15,000 for relief efforts.  Early this morning (4am) there was captured amateur footage or people experiencing the aftershock...as of now that footage seems to have been pulled.  Check out CNN's article here.

ANDERSON COOPER IN THE MIDST OF HAITI'S TRAGEDY on CNN

Anderson Cooper is always in the trenches of things like this and if you don't respect him you need to watch this and rethink it, QUICKLY.  This situation is still very much a big deal so I will post things in reference to it here and there.  And help where you can...if you can surf blogs you can google different charities to donate too.

WYCLEF HELPING HAITI ON FOX NEWS (VIDEO)

We have all seen the tragedy in Haiti and many of us have been scrambling to find a way to help.  Wyclef being Haitian has always tried his best to aid the country and with this tragedy I can see he is in overtime.  I really admire his work and if you're trying to figure out a good way to donate I'd support his movement.  All you have to do is text "YELE" to 501501, it will donate $5 for you.   Watch the clip as well, be aware.
