UNDRCRWN - LUXE VARSITY COLLECTION

“As “The Brand for Champions,” UNDRCRWN harnesses the power of collegiate tradition and ‘American-made’ authenticity for the Holiday 2010 collection. The new line of Varsity Jackets focus on rich workmanship and quality fabrics. Both the “Simon Says” and “Toy Soldier” styles are custom-built in the Pacific Northwest.
Each jacket features: 100% melton wool with full-grain leather pocket welts, custom chenille patchwork and tonal buttons. The tailored fit and everyday wearability- combine the authenticity of traditional wool varsity jackets with forward-thinking design. A fun and whimsical burst of color quietly await the wearer on the inside as the “toy soldier” camo print and “simon says” multi-colored satin lining- pick up on the theme of “play” and “children’s toys” highlighted in the UNDRCRWN Fall 2010 t-shirt collection.”
You can pre-order here though on 12.23.10

UNDRCRWN - CHILD'S PLAY COLLECTION pt. 2

In October,  UNDRCRWN released the first installment of the "Child's Play" collection. Featuring an assortment of tees in primary colors, the palette and graphics were reminiscent of childhood toys and hoop dynasty's of eras past.

In November, the brand takes it a step further with the second offering of this three-part series. Featured products include " UC Tee with Kung Fu Grip," "Playground Champion,"  "Brotherhood Tourney" and "Above The Rim" tees.

While primary colors remain the inspiration, the graphics now take a deeper look at the meaning of "Play" throughout ones life.  "Kung-Fu Grip" and  "Playground Champion"  center  on childhood nostalgia while "Brotherhood" and "Above The Rim" tees focus on playground rivalries and coming-of-age tales. By channeling pop culture from some of the most influential games, movie characters and scenes in 90's film- the designs take on a life of their own while reminding you of all the moments you treasured as a kid, teen and adult.

T-shirts have just been made available for purchase on www.SHOPUNDRCRWN.com
Child's Play tees (part 1 & 2) can be found using this direct link: http://www.shopundrcrwn.com/category/childs-play-collection

UNDRCRWN: SPRING 2010 "LOVE MEANS NOTHING"

Not only is UNDRCRWN the expert when it comes to hoop, but we also take pride in our knowledge and passion for all sports culture.
Spring 2010 is no different with the introduction of the "Love Means Nothing" Collection.

Departing from the Cali-Centric themes of Spring 1, the UNDRCRWN Spring Delivery 2  lookbook pays respect to some of the greatest sports rebels of the 80s and early 90s. The "Love Means Nothing" collection was shot in NYC and provides a solid juxtaposition of gritty street scenes, classic sports motifs and fashion-forward sportswear apparel.

Standout pieces include:

'Rebel Yell' T-Shirt + 'Rebel Yell' Organic Sweatshirt-  It ranks as one of the most memorable moments in sporting history. Back in 1981, a young frizzy haired, headband wearing, soon-to-be tennis legend broke down at Wimbledon. It was an  umpire's refusal to rule his serve that caused the immortal reaction "you cannot be serious."  We respect this legendary rebel as a dominant force whose reputation was built just as much on his personality as his athleticism.

'My Troop' Organic Sweatshirt-   A sports heritage inspired piece that takes cues from '90s activewear and mixes it  with organic textiles.
Love Means Nothing T-Shirt- In tennis love means zero, but translate it for today's world and it becomes a rebellious mantra.

As told to me via UNDRCRWN

UNDRCRWN x BRUCE LEE

UNDRCRWN just announced a partnership that will grant them rights to create a caricature and capsule collection for Bruce Lee.  The details are below, check it out.

March 1, 2010 --UNDRCRWN, The Brand for Champions, announces that it has been granted rights to create an UNDRCRWN x Bruce Lee capsule collection. To kick off the collaborative line, UNDRCRWN will be releasing a signature Bruce Lee caricature design.

The capsule designs are an ode to the Bruce Lee lifestyle and his work as an athlete, philosopher, movie star and fashion-minded individual. Not only did Bruce Lee take martial arts to a new level of popularity, but he was considerably more by challenging millions of stereotypes and perceptions along the way. Bruce smashed racial, gender and generational barriers during his lifetime and we felt that his core ethos of - action, power, grace and style- is perfectly aligned with the UNDRCRWN brand philosophy. We're honored to have been granted licensing rights to his name and image.

The “Bruce Lee by UNDRCRWN" collection kicks off on Monday, April 15th, 2010 and will be sold on www.UNDRCRWN.com, www.BruceLee.com, and select UNDRCRWN retailers nationwide. The Signature Caricature Tee retails for $32.00 (USD).

100% RELIEF: UNDRCRWN "ASSIST HAITI" T-SHIRT

UNDRCRWN is doing their part to contribute to helping Haiti.  Once again they come through with a design that speaks for their brand yet captures the essence of what the shirt has been made for:
Haiti was hit by a second earthquake this morning (measuring 6.1) as the country reels from the devastating 7.0 earthquake only eight days ago. Last week's quake killed an estimated 200,000 people, left 250,000 injured and made 1.5 million people homeless. Out of respect for those who have lost loved ones, their shelter and life's basic necessities-- UNDRCRWN joins the rest of the world in grieving the tremendous losses to the people of Haiti. As relief efforts are underway, we simply cannot stand by without taking action.
You can still make a difference in the midst of this devastation.
So starting today, Wednesday January 20th, UNDRCRWN releases the "Assist Haiti" T-shirt for the Haiti Relief Effort. 100% OF THE PROCEEDS WILL BE DONATED to YELE HAITI (www.yele.org) which is the organization supported by Wyclef Jean. Throughout the week of January 20th- January 27th, UNDRCRWN will also be donating 5% of  our total web sales to YELE HAITI.  We hope that our efforts combined with those around the world will help the people of Port-au-Prince and the rebuilding of Haiti.
T-Shirts retail for $20.00 (USD) | www.shopundrcrwn.com
Thank you for your generosity & support with these relief efforts

UNDRCRWN - SPRING 2009 MUSIC SERIES TEES

These pieces are definite odes to important pieces of Hip Hop.  De La Soul's artwork and Me, Myself & I track is worked into #24 as a small jab at Mr. Bryant.  The caricature of Prince Paul reflects his work behind the De La Soul classic of 3 Ft High & Rising.  And at the very top, a reintroduction of "Keep Bouncing" basically a play off MJ & Tribe's Low End Theory artwork.  Perfect top to match those horrible Jordan 1's
