In a span of two games Kobe hit a huge shot to give the Lakers a big win on their road trip and then the following day in a loss...Kobe gets his spot atop the All-Time Lakers' scoring list surpassing his friend and mentor Jerry West. Jerry was at the game and as you know did a great deal for not only the Lakers but the Grizzlies, whom the Lakers were playing when Kobe made history. Kobe also scored 44 points in the loss...it all makes sense if you read it right.
