LOS ANGELES LAKERS UPDATES : PHIL JACKSON BECOMES ALL TIME WINNINGEST COACH

Lakers beat another team, another historical accomplishment...seems like the normal.  With last night's win Phil Jackson becomes the all time winningest coach of the Lakers as he passed Pat Riley.  Highlights above.

LOS ANGELES LAKERS UPDATES : KOBE DROPS THE CELTS & PASSES JERRY WEST IN LESS THAN 36 HOURS

In a span of two games Kobe hit a huge shot to give the Lakers a big win on their road trip and then the following day in a loss...Kobe gets his spot atop the All-Time Lakers' scoring list surpassing his friend and mentor Jerry West.  Jerry was at the game and as you know did a great deal for not only the Lakers but the Grizzlies, whom the Lakers were playing when Kobe made history.  Kobe also scored 44 points in the loss...it all makes sense if you read it right.

The Lakers finally got back to their winning ways so they deserve a post now.  On top of that Kobe made history with a deep three ball last night.  With that 3 he had his 100th 40 point game, and ended up 3rd on the 40+ games list...behind Wilt & Michael Jordan.  You have to respect his greatness...he's simply the best right now because he's making and chasing history while your favorite player is chasing playoff contention, a first ring or maybe even a win.
