Driver of Bentley Riddled with Bullets on 101

A man was found on the 101 Freeway slumped over his steering wheel this morning at about 3:30AM. Witnesses approached the vehicle after it struck a median, many believed him to be drunk. Witnesses then discovered the driver had been shot. Many bulletholes were found in his passenger side door and window. No illegal items were found so authorities don't know if this was gang or drug related. The man was in critical condition at press time, and because of the impending investigation the 101 North was shut down until about 11:43AM, including the 5 & 10 connectors. Spotted this story over at Can & Kan's spot. They have a few more details that I don't.

Cool Venues - The Edison

So I couldn't call this New Venues because the Edison is far from new. But it's a very interesting and eclectic experience. You have to show up looking fly and mature...not even that eccentric hipster fashion will get you in. It has the look and feel of a scene from Batman but it makes it that much more fun. Now the reason I decided to post this is because I saw courtesy of Kan & Can's spot that Thursdays provide $0.35 martinis...yes THIRTY FIVE CENTS. Only between 5-7pm...but hey who can argue with that. They keep the 1910 theme with the 1910 prices between that time...DOPE!!! So next week people, maybe we round up...get cool and fall thru. I held off on posting about this spot mainly because I wanted to go first...but the lovely ladies of L.A. Etc posted something about it first.
