NEW VENUES: 1616 in DOWNTOWN LA

So from the folks who brought you the Spearmint Rhino comes their first non-stripper venue.  Keeps a "sex appeal" to it but definitely more Rated R than XXX.  I've been invited to a few private events but supposedly the soft opening is for a Halloween event later this month.  The venue also has grilled Tuscan Rib-Eye, cotton candy and housemade lollipops...interesting.  Peep the website here.

NEW VENUES: BAR210 & PLUSH

So inside of the Beverly Hilton on Saturday two new venues open to our city courtesy of DNA (a Las Vegas nightlife company with quite a rep).  Bar210 is a more intimate place with dim lighting and golden chandeliers that cascade the spot.  They have a Tiger Prawn Ravioli as well as Pork Belly Sliders and interesting drinks like the Black Berry which consists of Hennesy Black, cranberry, apple juice and blackberries.  The food is courtesy of a Top Chef alum so that should make for some tasty selections.

Plush is the adjacent club and is meant for a more festive and social time.   A tunnel of banquettes, enclosed patio and a fire pit are some of the highlights.  I may need to do something with this here.  Stay Tuned.

NEW VENUES - PANDORA: POP-UP NIGHTCLUB FOR HALLOWEEN

So the new thing is Pop-Up nightclubs...in this case we get Pandora.  Pandora is going to happen at Vibiana in downtown and only from tomorrow through Halloween as it is a Halloween themed pop-up.  Interesting isn't it?  Here is some more background on it below:

Introducing an otherworldly new pop-up nightclub in a stunning downtown church—Pandora by Night Visiontakes over St. Vibiana's cathedral this week.

For just a few nights, opening Pandora's box (by which we mean the front door) means you'll be entering a late-1800s holy land…that's been transformed into an empire of fog, candelabras, DJs and VIP sections where the altar and confessionals used to be. Depending on the night you choose to douse yourself in holy water and attend, you might find an interactive vampire wedding (Friday), a jazz band (also Friday) or an open bar (Friday and Saturday).

The inspiration for all this after-dark debauchery—aside from the dark beyond, obviously—is Vegas. (We'll leave it to you to discern the difference.) And after this introductory series of blowouts, you can expect to see this pop-up club pop up elsewhere throughout the country.

H.O.P.E. - NIGHTLIFE

H.O.P.E. - NightLife from Abigail Golden on Vimeo.

BOUT TIME, don't worry H.O.P.E. I'm blaming all this on Julien, I mean c'mon he's a Dallas fan. But anyways my boy H.O.P.E drops his video for Nightlife featuring cameos from Skeme, Cire, CurT@!n$ and UNI. We've all been waiting, and it's long overdue. The visuals match the song like music videos should do...makes you want to go party doesn't it? So check it out then hit up H.O.P.E. and let him know your thoughts. And you can still download Follow the Leader if you don't have it already. It's also to the right of the blog posts, just click the pic. Directed by Sendeu. Oh and I have an exclusive interview with H.O.P.E. dropping soon. Enjoy.

HAPPY BDAY EAZEE STREET!!!!

Okay it's not the birthday yet...but on April 27th Eazee Street the blog becomes a one year old.  To celebrate that great event we will have a great event at the Zanzibar in Santa Monica on April 22nd.  It's also the 1 year mark for clothing line DWB (Dweebs Without Brains) so we're collaborating on this event.  Because UNI was the 1st ever post on Chris Focus is the resident artist for Eazee Street, both acts will be taking the stage that night.  So come to a good time and a good show.  Lots of folks, companies, etc that make up the L.A. scene and make it onto the blog WILL be present.  Lensley is supposed to premier on the L.A. Hip Hop scene that night and you want to have fun with that there.  More details to be revealed in the coming weeks.

COOL VENUES - MOOD

So you know after the show is the afterparty...so after Chris Focus' 1st show he wanted to hang where Eazee spends alot of his Friday nights...well as I've mentioned before, that's usually MOOD in Hollywood. A nice intimate set up with Eastern themes give it a great ambience. Fellas the women there are great scenery as well...and ladies you can often find some suitable men to mingle with. But this is about the venue so there are NO party life photos here. The creators of MOOD are also responsible for Opera/Crimson & Geisha House. For more info on MOOD go here. Shouts to Premier Ent. (Devrin & Milton)

Cool Venues - The Edison

So I couldn't call this New Venues because the Edison is far from new. But it's a very interesting and eclectic experience. You have to show up looking fly and mature...not even that eccentric hipster fashion will get you in. It has the look and feel of a scene from Batman but it makes it that much more fun. Now the reason I decided to post this is because I saw courtesy of Kan & Can's spot that Thursdays provide $0.35 martinis...yes THIRTY FIVE CENTS. Only between 5-7pm...but hey who can argue with that. They keep the 1910 theme with the 1910 prices between that time...DOPE!!! So next week people, maybe we round up...get cool and fall thru. And see how little we spend b4 we get a lil "buzzed"...just a thought. For more details on the Edison go here.

Christian Audigier Opens Nightclub

On July 4th, Christian Audigier of Von Dutch, Ed Hardy, Smet & Christian Audigier fame held the Grand Opening of his new nightclub in none other than Sin City. The New nightclub is inside T.I. (Treasure Island) and is where the old Tangerine Lounge was. Nick Cannon was on board as a guest DJ (no Mariah), and there were plenty of other celebs, booze and bimbos in attendance. These were a few pics, but for more you can go here.
