NERD - YOU JUST WANNA BE SEEN (NEW MUSIC)

If you've ever been to the Spliff as well as other hip hop shows in the city then you may know Nerd.  He's been seen rapping, hosting and all around supporting the scene as a whole.  He hit me via Twitter today to spread the word about his new track over at Imeem.  It's called You Just Wanna Be Seen and for some of you out there, I'd say it's true.  For some that's a good thing, for others it's a real bad look.  Check it out.  Once again...Inglewood UP!!!

LA STEREO TV LAUNCH EVENT: 2MORROW NIGHT

Some new ish ya'll need to get up on will be hitting the web and to bring it in right, there will be a launch event tomorrow.  So what you should do is check it out.  Thanks.  Big props to Val the Vandle and the Spliff...they put good hands in this.

LA HIP HOP in LA & ATLANTA

So L.A. hip hop is alive and well this weekend as they will invade Atlanta for the A3C Hip Hop Festival and some up and comers will be tearing down the Spliff. If you're not going to ATL, hit up On The Rox Friday night and check out Stevie Crooks & Dre Biggity just to name a few. If you are hitting ATL then check out SMKA & Fadia Kader's event Perfect Attendance as there will be 3 days of hip hop. You can check out the South underground including Sean Falyon, J. Cole, Joe Scudda, Curren$y and more sprinkled in with other regions's artists as well. Saturday the West will show face where El Prez, Diz Gibran, UNI, TiRon & Dom Kennedy will grace the stage. So if you have folks in ATL tell them to check it out as well.

Drew posted some footage of Chris Focus performing Bop Like This 2.0 at the Spliff.  I have a lot of footage from this weekend so I'll get that to ya'll this week.  Alot of things to sift through, but it's good stuff so be patient.  In the meantime check this out.  Good looks Drew.

FOCUS'D FRIDAYS & MORE!!!!

So if you noticed the Focus'd Fridays has slowed down a little bit...well part of that is because he's been saving some new stuff for this weekend.  So instead of dropping it to the nets...he'll be dropping new tracks LIVE this weekend.  2NITE at the SPLIFF and 2MORROW NIGHT at LMU.  Be at the Spliff by 10:30PM and LMU by 8 (because I'm not sure who goes on at what time and you'll want to see all the acts tomorrow).

ANOTHER SHOW REMINDER - THIS WEEKEND (CHRIS FOCUS)

Speaking of shows this week...Chris Focus has two this weekend.  Friday at the Spliff and Saturday at LMU.  He told me he's working on 2 different sets for each night so make sure to come to both and enjoy.  I believe they're both FREE.  So support L.A. Hip Hop.  There will be some other acts you've become familiar with at both events.

NEXT WEEK - A CHRIS FOCUS WEEKEND

So next week resident artist Chris Focus will be burning up the Spliff on Friday night then will tear down LMU for his "Homecoming" ceremony. Rumor has it that he will perform two different sets for these back to back shows, so the idea is that you come to both of them. He will perform a couple internet favs as well as debut some brand new material. The LMU show will also feature other acts you've seen here like the Language Artz Crew, the homie TiRon, and the other homie H.O.P.E. LA STAND UP!!!

3-1-0 : La Brea

310 sent me a link to this over the weekend but I was doing my best at avoiding my emails and taking a weekend to myself; plus some unforeseen things came up so alotta things I planned on doing...didn't happen.  Anyways I don't know why I hadn't posted this before.  This footage is from the February Spliff with UNI & Diz.  310 closed out the set on a dope note...and this was a track that had the whole place rocking with him.  "Driving down La Brea..", I'll prolly be on Stocker, Crenshaw or La Tijera before I hit La Brea...but you never know.  Shouts to 310 & Drew.
