BROCCOLI KUNG PAO RECAP

So last night I headed over to Broccoli Kung Pao, you know the happening non-Hollywood event on a Tuesday night.  Well last night was special...Def Sound rocked (though none of the photos of him I took came out clear, probably because he's a ball of energy) as did LAUSD and Language Artz and a few other acts.  In the middle of all the performances Rapper Big Pooh took the stage with Joe Scudda and set the crowd into a frenzy.  For LAUSD's set they brought pretty much all of LA onto the stage and performed many of the crowd favorites as many folks were rapping along with the songs.  Alotta the familiar faces were there: Chris Focus, Diz Gibran, El Prez (he hosts every week) DNEZ, Convinced, Dale Danja, Tunji, Skeme, 310, C-San, DRG Films as well as some new faces such as Basicali.  I saw the group Overdoz perform for the 1st time.  Language Artz did a energetic set featuring Picaso, Thr33zy & A.T.  All in all a good night, special shout out to Broccoli City.

MY CYPHER x KEY CLUB x SKEME x CASEY VEGGIES x HOPE

Here is some footage that Drew was able to catch at the Raekwon x Alchemist show this past Wednesday at the Key Club.  The opening acts were folks from the local scene and from what I heard they all represented well.  You know the names Casey Veggies, C-San, 310, Skeme and H.O.P.E. so check it out.  Once again...props to Drew.

3-1-0 : La Brea

310 sent me a link to this over the weekend but I was doing my best at avoiding my emails and taking a weekend to myself; plus some unforeseen things came up so alotta things I planned on doing...didn't happen.  Anyways I don't know why I hadn't posted this before.  This footage is from the February Spliff with UNI & Diz.  310 closed out the set on a dope note...and this was a track that had the whole place rocking with him.  "Driving down La Brea..", I'll prolly be on Stocker, Crenshaw or La Tijera before I hit La Brea...but you never know.  Shouts to 310 & Drew.

C San, Prez, 310, E Dub, Shake, Meka, etc have all mentioned him and Thurz has too recently. I know he holds the coast down so I figured I should shed some light on him. This track I hear is actually about to be re-recorded, have some bells and whistles added and maybe get a possible web video done for it. FCC, already got the rumors building, lol. FCC x 2nd STREET SKILLSFEST

Here are a "few" pics from the Crates & Mics aka 2nd Street Skillsfest that went down last Friday.  The show featured some of FCC's favorite emcees: Chris Focus, Convinced, DNEZ, El Prez and guest appearances by C-San & Three-1-Zero.  FCC was well represented as myself, E Dub & Big Kev were in the building.  Other noteworthy guests were Taz of Sa-Ra fame, C-Ball & Dale Danja from the Cheap$kates crew, Meka of 2 DopeBoyz.com, L4 & Polyester the Saint of LAUSD, Like of Pacific Division and DWB (more on them soon).  Shouts to Ophrap for having us there.  The video is being worked on and if you're lucky we may have a lil teaser up later this evening.  Until then see all the fun you missed by viewing these stills.  If you know my myspace page...I have more pics.  And Chris Focus brought lotsa ladies out for the show...always a good look.
