So some of you, just as I have, have probably been wondering where Ges of the FCC has been, for those of you that were getting to know Tassho Pearce out of Hawaii, and those wondering why when they go to KNOWxONE.com they couldn't find much...well part of that is Ges had been developing a new site after an unfortunate thing happened with KNOWxONE. So as you know, the FCC (myself included) has been sponsoring collabo tracks with some of LA's finest acts as well as dropping all sorts of western newness on ya'll...well now we're taking it a STEP further and putting on a show with some of those very acts. In conjunction with Ophrap Recordings the FCC presents LIFT OFF 2009. It will be the offcial release party for DJ Spintelect's Terminator Mixtape, the wrap party for the Mass Appeal 09 remix and the listening party for El Prez & Dale Danja's Perfect Strangers EP. The event will go down next Saturday at the Palmer Room and will feature live performances by Inverse, Chris Focus, Convinced and El Prez (along with some surprise guests). The show will also be sponsored by VIMBY and Hip Hop Official. Keep it locked for more developments in regards to the event.

It's always interesting to know what the negative side of things are in different places...not to glorify anything but to shed light on the unseen things. Straight from Hawaii, my FCC fam over at KNOWxONE, Ges put me on to this dude here. And every monday until the release of his "The Opening Act" we , The FCC, will be leaking tracks from it. Hawaii gives the LA scene mad love so you know we gotta give it back ya'll.

It's finally here! After many months of preparation and collecting various tracks, tweaking the mix, switching up the tracklist and getting drops - it's all finally come together. The first ever, official KNOWxONE mixtape. I got together with my boys from Nocturnal Sound Krew whom have 2 back to back ITF World Championships under their belt because we did not want to put out a half-assed product. With all the mixtapes that are coming out everyday which are more or less on the mediocre side of things, we wanted to bring you back to the essence of the DJ - keeping it 100% Hip-Hop. We didn't go too overboard with the cuts & scratches, but it's subtly there. It's the little, smaller details that we hope you will notice & appreciate.
