BEHIND THE SCENES - BASICALI : I CHOOSE YOU

The homies from Hip Hop Official, Daylan & Kev, were with a camera crew shooting footage for Basicali's upcoming video: I Choose You off his new EP.  The shoot went down Wednesday and one of the scenes brought them over to Earle'z Grill right here in my neck of the woods...so it was only right I went by and got some behind the scenes footage for ya'll.  As you can see Dale Danja & El Prez came to support and lend some cameo shots to the vid.  Get the EP by Basicali below.

KANYE WEST f. YOUNG JEEZY - AMAZING (video)

I chose this player that I spotted at Kev's because of the look...the rounded rectangle screen, the neon inspired menu icons...dope.  And the video itself is pretty dope as far as visuals...I still don't get down with 808's though...

HHO BACKSTAGE w/ BUSTA RHYMES pt. 2

Remember when Hip Hop Official sat down with Busta Rhymes backstage in LA at Club Nokia?  Well they said that was just part 1...well here is the 2nd installment.  Catch up.

HIP HOP OFFICIAL ARTIST OF THE WEEK - STRONG ARM STEADY pt. 2

I warned ya'll that there was a part 2 to this...so peep this out and get some first hand scoop on their forthcoming projects.  Props to Kev.

HIP HOP OFFICIAL - ARTIST OF THE WEEK | STRONG ARM STEADY

Don't look now, but Hip Hop Official's artist of the week is none other than Strong Arm Steady.  They rep Cali hard and you see them all over LA so recognize their movement.  I've been rocking with Phil Da Agony since the Wake Up Show when he used to freestyle with Ras Kass, Xzibit, Arrogance and more.  This is before Sway would even come close to an MTV building youngin's.  Enjoy, shouts to Kev.

LUDACRIS x COMMON x HIP HOP OFFICIAL

Just noticed that Kev had posted this video up of a show they covered.  So in FCC fashion, I'm posting it on the "Street".  Check it out.

TiRON x AYOMARI x HIP HOP OFFICIAL

TiRon & Ayomari perform "Sydney" over at the HHO offices.  A video for another song these guys did together should be dropping on Thursday and TiRon's new mixtape: Ketchup should be dropping today.  Be on the lookout for it...I'll drop it for you here.

Hip Hop Official x WALE

Ya'll remember when Wale was out here a couple weeks back doing a show with UNI & Blu?  I knew you did.  Well anyways the FCC fam over at Hip Hop Official got to hang out with him that day and night (no Cudi) and got to know him a little better.  This is part 1 of 2.  See him do sound check, in-stores and learn his thoughts on our city and what he's got brewing for his new album.  Part 2 next week.

EVIDENCE - FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS (behind the scenes, pt. 2)

Kev posted part 1  the other day, so now the second part is up for grabs.  Peep it out, brought to you via Hip Hop Official.  Get Evidence's Layover EP, pronto!!!

HHO ARTIST OF THE WEEK - EL PREZ

That's right, part of the FCC fam EL PREZ was this HIP HOP OFFICIAL's ARTIST OF THE WEEK. Congrats to Prez, his hard work and all around cool persona have gotten some limelight shed on him and he's not stopping. He'll be sending me the Perfect Strangers EP with Dale Danja any second now, and as you know he'll be rocking that FCC show tomorrow night (a couple posts down). El Prez will also be shooting that Mass Appeal 09 Remix video tomorrow with Convinced & Tunji. See gets Artist of the Week and he's still workin, HARD. Keep it up Prez!!!

B-Real : Hip Hop Official Interview

West Coast veteran B-Real stops by Kev's office and has a good ol sit down.

TIRON - HIP HOP OFFICIAL ARTIST OF THE WEEK

I knew it was only a matter of time before he found his way onto HHO, but I had no heads up or anything in regards to this good look by a fellow FCC member. But regardless, our folks are featuring TiRon as the Hip Hop Official artist of the week. Check it out and learn more about that dude who likes to throw his money.

FCC presents

So as you know, the FCC (myself included) has been sponsoring collabo tracks with some of LA's finest acts as well as dropping all sorts of western newness on ya'll...well now we're taking it a STEP further and putting on a show with some of those very acts. In conjunction with Ophrap Recordings the FCC presents LIFT OFF 2009. It will be the offcial release party for DJ Spintelect's Terminator Mixtape, the wrap party for the Mass Appeal 09 remix and the listening party for El Prez & Dale Danja's Perfect Strangers EP. The event will go down next Saturday at the Palmer Room and will feature live performances by Inverse, Chris Focus, Convinced and El Prez (along with some surprise guests). The show will also be sponsored by VIMBY and Hip Hop Official. Keep it locked for more developments in regards to the event.

Time Machine - In the City OF Everything

Time Machine, In The City Of Everything

I posted a video by these cats a few months back that featured my lady friends from Bella Beat.  Well here is another video from the LA group with a song about what else?  OUR CITY, LOS ANGELES.  So for that alone...well FCC fam KEV approved as well.  Peep it out.
