Snow Tha Product - "Hola" Live At SXSW 2013 [VIDEO]

I was made aware of this artist back when she did a remix of Schoolboy Q's "Hands On the Wheel" track. Apparently Snow tha Product is from Cali but living in Texas. We've seen a rise in female emcees lately which is really cool, it's also good to see a female emcee that's reprensenting for the ladies. This SXSW performance clip made it to my inbox c/o Fly Times Daily. Hit the jump to see what they had to say.

Recently, Snoop Dogg, Mayer Hawthorne and The County and DaM-FunK threw it down at the Pepsi MAX Lot at the Pepsi MAX Presents Snoop Dogg's Funk n Soul Extravaganza!  With a packed house and for the first time ever, Snoop, Mayer and DaM collectively performed on stage and dedicated the night to West Coast OG Nate Dogg.  Surprise guests Warren G and Diddy joined the group as they sang some of Nate Dogg classics! - Cashmere

Yeah I was supposed to make it to this but it didn't happen.  My bro Miguel told me about it on the plane out there and I was all set to go plus the homie J. Cole was also on board as well as my girlfriend Melanie Fiona.  I swear Dom (Kennedy) was on this as well.  Well when you miss things you can always count on the internet to have something for you.  Shouts to the homie LowKey for posting this or I'd have missed the highlights...

ASHLEY OUTRAGEOUS: KENDRICK LAMAR LIVE at SXSW (VIDEO)

Ashley sent me some footage she got of the homie Kendrick from SXSW, enjoy:

Here's a recap of Kendrick Lamar’s performance at The Smoking Section & NahRight’s Grand Ole Party during SXSW 2011. He started his set with “The Heart Pt.2″ then flowed into more stand out tracks off of Overly Dedicated such as "P&P", "Look Out For Detox", "Michael Jordan", & more. His performance had to be one of my favorite throughout the whole weekend judging by his energy & passion in his rhymes. - Ashley

HARDKNOCK TV: MISTAH F.A.B. SXSW FREESTYLE (VIDEO)

While running around during Rap Camp ( aka SXSW), I ran into Mistah F.A.B out side of a pizza joint. Fab has to be one of the most underrated dudes ever. Every time Hardknock TV and I run up on him he never disappoints us with his incredible freestyle abilities. Peep video below of him going in for 4 minutes!

*Side Note* While rapping, a cop on the side of us kept trying to get us to moves because we were blocking the pizza joint. So what does Fab do? Incorporates him into his rap. #Funtimes

Shouts to Devi Dev on sending this over...

SXSW: LAST SHOW w/ LAST RIGHTS (PHOTO RECAP)

Here is a photo recap of the last night of performing that went down in Austin, TX for SXSW.  It went down at the Firehouse Lounge for Day 3 of the Last Rights showcase.  The homies from all over were in effect as Esso from NY did his thing, Grip Plyaz from ATL, Sean Falyon of Philly and of course our hometown reppers El Prez who was accompanied by Chris Focus and DNEZ in TreeHouse Club fashion.  Prez also brought out a surprise guest in Shawn Chrystopher as he kept the set live with "No Snitchin".  The homie Diz Gibran capped off the night by doing noteworthy tracks from Soon You'll Understand" as well as some old Diz and unreleased music.  Special shout out to DJ Printz Paul for being the in-house DJ that night and keeping it moving as well as DJ'ing a LOT of folks sets that he had never DJ'ed for.  It was a good way to cap our stay in Austin, we met a lot of people, took plenty of photos (as these recaps are far from all of them) and lots of video footage (that we're still going through to show you the best quality).  Enjoy what we've shown you so far.  Can't wait till next year.

SXSW: L.A. HIP HOP REPPIN' + WIZ KHALIFA, CURREN$Y & MORE...DAY 3

So during the day it was pretty tame as far as FCC members having to rock shows...so in the late afternoon we headed over to the spot that Grip had rocked the day before to catch the Hustlenomics event.  Mostly midwest talent but the homie Curt@!N$ was rocking as was hometown homies Pac Div and Dom Kennedy.  The L.A. representation was going on back to back and it was apparent folks didn't think L.A. was too thick in there.  Well after Pac Div dropped the first beat the entire venue knew L.A. was officially in the building.  In a back corner we all rocked out adlibing songs and in some cases rapping word for word.  "W's were thrown up, Mayor dances were in full effect and making Pac Div & Dom feel as if they were home got them hyped as well.  It was very much Cali Love as myself, Shawn Chrys, Chris Focus, El Prez, Jansport J, DNEZ, Noni Spitz, Dae One, Skeme, Nick Diamond, and various friends of artists went HAM on those couches (myself included).  Another case of SXLA.  I can't find any pics from that day with Dom in them, but there is only one pic of Pac Div performing so Cypressology may have been busy filming...time will tell.

SXSW: EL PREZ, CHRIS FOCUS, DNEZ, PRINTZ PAUL & MORE (DAY 2, DAY SHIFT)

So day 2 of the FCC trip to SXSW started with El Prez, Chris Focus & DNEZ heading over to the set of a video with Freddie Gibbs and Bun B that included cameos from Chuck Inglish, Chip the Ripper and Pac Div.  After getting it in with those folks they all headed to the main strip in Downtown Austin where everything was going down.  Along the way we bumped into Diz Gibran and Val the Vandle as they were getting ready to do their show circuit for the day.  We headed over to check out another spot where Grip Plyaz was performing and after all the homies jumped up with him for "F@ck Dat Hipster Sh!t" they proceeded to go into "Like This" a TreeHouse Club track featuring Grip.  The soundman tried to cut the short set and took the mics but Grip and THC continued to rock the spot with no mics.  It went down...the pictures of everyone jumping around only tell half the story (if that).  After that performance we headed over to see TiRon and UNI up the street.  TiRon got to rock a short set but other complications and what looked like chaos to me kept UNI from going on.  Luckily they had a surprise performance up the street for 2Dopeboyz.com's event.  The L.A. invasion continued as Jay Rock took the stage and rocked out as well as Kendrick Lamar who was given some shine on stage as well.  The night shift of Day 2 is pretty much where it set in for all other cities that this had become SXLA.  Footage this week.
