A day in the life of hip hop's brightest star, Kendrick Lamar! We spend a day with him and his crew just ahead of his big Spotify Live show. Yo Ret I see you sir...
Calm down...it's not a new song or video; simply the homies doing they thing on separate platforms but I wanted to highlight it all together. Above, Kendrick performs "Poetic Justice" on Jimmy Kimmel, after the jump another he does "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe" and Schoolboy Q getting busy at SOB's in NY.
Fresh off dropping the “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe” Remix with Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar
is back on dubcnn with yet another treat for the fans. Before invading
Austin’s SXSW Festival last week, Kendrick returned from a month-long
tour in Europe. With the critically acclaimed album «Good Kid, M.A.A.D
City” approaching platinum status, we sat down with K.Dot at his last
tour stop in Zurich and discussed his major success in this exclusive
interview. Kendrick speaks about his past as well as possible future
directions, dealing with pressure, Dr. Dre’s absence from the album, day
one fans and more. Interview is available in text and audio. Questions asked by Lil Jay // twitter.com/jaydubcnn
The news broke the last time I flooded your timelines with stuff last week in regards to this remix. Then it the interwebs soon after...it's not 'new' anymore but that doesn't it mean I can't let it breathe here on the streets either.
The other day as this was going on live I saw it flash across the TV while having lunch with my OG Fuzzy Fantab. Didn't get to actually hear what was being performed but we here with it now. The joys of the interwebs. Have some more video dealing with Kendrick coming up.
Kendrick delivers with this video here. In case you didn't know it's the visual for the song with his Canadian rapper homie Drake, uses the famous Janet Jackson sample, it's off that great album good kid, m.A.A.d City. The homies Dom Kennedy, YG & Jay 305 make an appearance as well. Enjoy.
Ab-Soul & JMSN join forces again on “You’re Gone,” the first single off their forthcoming collaborative album, Unit 6. The project is set to drop via iTunes in February under Top Dawg Entertainment and White Room Records.
It's just really dope to see the homie go from sets on the patio of a bar in Austin and a small stage at On the Rox all the way to selling 8 consecutive shows in another country. Here is a performance of Backstage Freestyle Live in London. The crowd's energy never ended and they sung pretty much every line along with Kendrick. A packed house with thousands of fans...DOPE.
It came out last week or so but I still like the song and I love what Jerome D., Kendrick and Dave Free were able to cook up for this visual. Shouts to TDE on their movement.
The brands are pretty much lining up to jump on the Kendrick Lamar bandwagon...but there is nothing wrong with that. He's been working hard to get to this position. Check out the details below and grab the song as well:
