HIP HOP REWIND EP. 7 - Y.G. INTERVIEW x SXSW: KENDRICK LAMAR, TRINIDAD JAMES, A$AP FERG [VIDEO]

Blow Hip-Hop TV sent me a video with a quick interview they did with YG while he was in New York, along with some highlights of their time at SXSW. While they were in Texas they caught performances from Kendrick Lamar, Trinidad James, A$AP Ferg, HS87 and more. Check it out.

Daz & Kurupt - Them Niggas G-MIX [MUSIC DOWNLOAD]

Now you may have become familiar with the song "Them Niggas" by the I.E.'s very own Audio Push as they collaborated with their homie, Grammy award winning producer, Hit-Boy. Well there was a shout out to Daz & Kurupt on the song and that shout out inspired the veterans to make their version of the song. In other words, a "G-MIIIIIIIXXXXXXX".

Hit-Boy: Behind The Sound via Power 106 [VIDEO]

Grammy Award-winning super producer Hit-Boy was the next artist featured for Power 106’s “Behind The Sound.” In the interview, Hit discusses meeting a girl at a guitar center and started experiment with sounds at the age of 16. He cites Tupac as one of his biggest influences being motivated by the energy and lyrics in his craft. Hit-Boy touches on working with Kanye and seeing how he’s hard on himself into perfecting his music which he wants to use that same work-ethic for himself. The clip closes out with Hit-Boy talking about his dream of having a successful label and the current state of the West Coast.

Hit-Boy and his #HS87 squad [including some of the homies] invaded Power 106 last night with the LA Leakers and the highlight of the night was Hit-Boy announcing his imprint deal with Interscope and a remix for his popular "Fan" record from his project HITStory. The remix features everyone's favorite: 2 Chainz. The L.A. Leakers then dropped the track for all to hear. Enjoy.
