Yeah I was supposed to make it to this but it didn't happen. My bro Miguel told me about it on the plane out there and I was all set to go plus the homie J. Continuing my brief chat with J.Cole this past weekend at Heineken’s Inspire Tour in Manhattan, I ventured down the lane of what was most beneficial for him this past year: Being placed on Jay-Z’s “A Star Is Born” from his Blueprint 3 opus or opening for Hov for his Blueprint 3 tour.
To be honest, either placement is a GREAT look a new artist of Cole’s stature, or any stature for that matter, would kill for. On one hand you’re verbally sparring with one of the greats on a track that’s highlighting your struggles and how your favorite artist believes in your star potential.
But then on the other hand, your favorite artist has decided to position you as an opener for his tour (as if he needs one). Man, what a year for Roc Nation’s brightest star.

So here's some footage of the Clipse, the video right above is of the Clipse performing in NY (note to self, go to CMJ next year) at the Hiro Ballroom. This is the same performance where Pusha took a shot at Mr. Carter of NY not NO supposedly. The shot was felt all over twitter via my boy LowKey. Also the Clipse said they'd be dropping a new song to the nets today. So this might be what the clip up top is very well about. Check all the footage out. Heads up...the shot at S. Carter is not included in this footage.

9TH WONDER'S "DE BLOG JAM"

You may remember a small series that featured 9th Wonder and was posted on BET.com's blog but were probably wondering what happened since the subsequent episodes never came. Well there were some small obstacles and it looks to be back. The east coast homie LowKey is responsible for this dope idea and my family works with 9th Wonder so it's getting the love over here. I'll let LowKey explain what happened and what's next:
9th Wonder Is Back! Ok so I wanted to do this dope feature on SoundOff called “Studio Rats” which would include hand selected artists, radio personalities, DJ’s and producers in their elements grinding out whatever it is they do in a studio setting. However, StudioRats.Com already has the rights to the name so I’m forced to go back to the drawing board.
Furthermore, 9th and his folks already titled these videos “De Blog Jam” so it wouldn’t make sense for me to alter what he’s already started. But have no fear because it’s a win-win situation. In the coming weeks the “My Sessions” franchise will begin and 9th’s, “De Blog Jam” will continue to live exclusively on these walls. And MAKE sure you check for the next episode because David Banner will be making a DOPE cameo. – LowKey

If you want to know why 9th Wonder is gettin a post on a blog that focuses mainly on LA it's 2 good reasons: 1. a family member represents him on the PR tip (and yeah she's from LA) and 2. the video above is part of a series by the big homie LowKey out on the east coast...therefore, why wouldn't I? To get some background on the series I'll let my fam tell it:

REMINDER : JAY-Z (BP3 LEAK)
This was the other Jay track I had yesterday and was supposed to leak, but I didn't. And as I took care of other stuff and woke up later than I had planned...the NMC got their hands on the same song and posted it, damn (snaps finger). But if I'm going to get beat posting "leak" records from big time artists, I'd rather get beat by them. They've been doing that consistently for some time now. But because I do have it and it's out there now...why wouldn't I post it. So for ya'll thinkin' Jay still doesn't have it...please listen to the words and take this as a "Reminder". JAY-Z : DEATH OF AUTOTUNE (DOA)
He's not LA, but LA hip hop loves him...he was just here in the city and everyone is talking about it. This is the CDQ version of today's music talk of the town and it's only right I bring it to ya'll. Jay Z's new song = RAW. Props to LowKey.
