LOS ANGELES LAKER UPDATES: Kobe Torches Mavs, Smokes A Cuban

It's been a minute since you got a sports update from me, but I'm at the Los That Sports Blog HQ so it seemed right. Earlier this morning, some of you Angelenos may have been sleep, Kobe marched into Dallas with a small chip on his shoulder. After Mavericks' owner Mark Cuban made some comments earlier in the week about the Lakers amnestying Kobe. Well Kobe decided to answer with 38pts, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. He also hit some impressive shots down the stretch. Case in point: my twitter avi. It was a tightly played game and Dirk gave some nail-biting moments but the #LAKESHOW made it out. Steve gave us a dub, and despite only 9pts, Dwight's defense helped tremendously. After the game, Kobe tweeted "Amnesty THAT". Yo Cuban, the streets is watching, and the tweets is too. So if you know about Twitter then you know that this was a huge trending topic today...not like it was popping among your twitter network, but was prime position on the official Twitter Trending Topic list. The highest it got was #4 but stayed at #5 for a good point of today's prime time talk. Started by the man El Prez (who is the one who dropped this dope video), then found it's way to me, then Diz Gibran...next thing you know everyone was stating what Floss Angeles was to them. Only the LA hip hop scene could create a trending topic on twitter and have other cities paying attention to not only the topic but peeping the vid and some of Los Angeles' next wave of talent. This will be on the Animal Style mixtape that El Prez will drop this month. This is your summer anthem Los Angeles...this track is FCC approved and sponsored and as you can see the fam showed up. While most were down at LA Live to see Keyshia, Keri, The-Dream and them, right next door the Lakers were having a private party where Weezy & Yeezy came out to celebrate their achievements...between the two events there was plenty of celebrity fanfare walking between Nokia Theater and Club Nokia...this is where I was trying to be yesterday if you caught any of my Twitter rants yesterday.

GOOD FOOD - KOGI BBQ

So if you don't know about this spot...there are two good reasons: one, it's not located at any particular place and two, you weren't cool enough to be included in the know.  The following for it is cult like yet phenomenal and the idea is pure genius.  The spot is mobile, in other words two taco trucks that travel the city of Los Angeles and you just have to know where THEY are at any given moment.  It's the perfect business for Twitter.  They offer Korean BBQ in a presentation a la mexican food, sliders, & hot dogs.  I've been told it's great food but I always seem to miss it.  But I plan on catching it soon.  Took the pics from their site as well as their Flickr account.  Check that out to see how crazy and good it gets.  Peep the site here for more info.  Also they have a permanent kitchen located at the Alibi Room.
