Evil Christian Cop was inspired by the dark undercurrents that exist in the phrase "To protect and serve." As producerBrook D'Leau explains, "Why should we rely on an evil stranger to protect and serve when you have the power to protect and serve yourself?" The EP features co-production by Greg Wells ("Teen Spirit"), GB ("Lazy Daze"), and LA-based lyricist DefSound. Full of synths, alluring vocals, and distinct production, the seductive twosome provide a dreamy soundscape for listeners to lose themselves in. Jack Davey and Brook leave all interpretations up to the listener. "We cannot provide the message, we simply provide the mental playground for the listeners' minds to go wild upon," says Brook.

We'll finally be getting some new music from J*DaVeY next week with a new project called Evil Christian Cop.  The duo will also hit the road with Blu next month around the time of SXSW, which they will also be participating in.  I'll keep you updated with that situation as the info comes in.

I was one of the first (if not THE) to drop a song from Marz Lovejoy earlier this year.  Since then I've seen Marz name move throughout the scene.  She showed up on the track with Pac Div called "Shine" and from there we've seen her turn heads ever since.  Yesterday Polyester sent me a link to her new song Sticky that was produced by he and Brook D'Leau (of J*DaVeY).  Soon after that it was announced that she was being pushed by iHipHop Distribution.  Keep an eye out for her, she's moving.

So as you can see Eazee Street along with some other great folks are presenting J*DaVeY at the Roxy LIVE tomorrow night.  Come through about 11:30 since it will be packed and make sure to say you're there for J*DaVeY when you buy your tickets.  There going to perform some old and new, either way it will all be awesome.
