MARZ LOVEJOY AT CMJ; TALKS the L.A. HIP HOP SCENE (VIDEO)

In this piece, Marz sits down to talk about the bubbling L.A. music scene, comparing it to New York in the '90s.  One of a handful of youthful west-coast artists on the come-up, she is at the center of a movement at its boiling point.  She expresses her excitement about the groundswell of support and the crystallization of her efforts right before she rocks the stage at the iHipHop x FrankRadio CMJ 2010 showcase.  Undoubtedly, Marz Lovejoy’s music reflects that she is in fact the total package; brains, beauty, charisma and talent. - iHipHop

MARZ LOVEJOY - STICKY (MUSIC DOWNLOAD)

I was one of the first (if not THE) to drop a song from Marz Lovejoy earlier this year.  Since then I've seen Marz name move throughout the scene.  She showed up on the track with Pac Div called "Shine" and from there we've seen her turn heads ever since.  Yesterday Polyester sent me a link to her new song Sticky that was produced by he and Brook D'Leau (of J*DaVeY).  Soon after that it was announced that she was being pushed by iHipHop Distribution.  Keep an eye out for her, she's moving.

PAC DIV, KENDRICK LAMAR, EL PREZ & SKEME at THE ROXY (PHOTO RECAP via K. STOKES)

Here are some photos the homie K. Stokes took while in the thick of the action at The Roxy this past Saturday.  Skeme, El Prez (f. TreeHouseClub), Kendrick Lamar and Pac Div put on a memorable show for Los Angeles.  Kendrick brought out Jay Rock and then UNI & Skeme to do the "I Do This" RMX, and Pac Div dimmed the lights and showed up with Marz Lovejoy and TiRon.  They also did some classics for the true fans and loyal folks.  If you want to see all the pics go here NOW!!!
