Coming off the heels of a birthday celebration weekend, Chris Focus wanted to take a timeout to not only thank those who celebrated but to acknowledge all those who have been supporting his music as well. But don't trip, he has enough 'gratitude' for the negative people that try to find ways into his life too. Chris Focus uses his track "Thank You" as a visual dedication to them.

CHRIS FOCUS - FRESH '85 [MUSIC VIDEO]

If you were able to attend the "Boarding Pass Experience" last week you were able to catch a sneak peek of this video.  Today Chris Focus releases the first official single/video from his forthcoming Boarding Pass project [available 12.21.12 at www.FocusOnChris.com].  The video is directed by Jerome D. [Swimming Pools, Hands on the Wheel, etc] and the track is produced by Thadxeus White.

ANOTHER SHOW REMINDER - THIS WEEKEND (CHRIS FOCUS)

Speaking of shows this week...Chris Focus has two this weekend.  Friday at the Spliff and Saturday at LMU.  He told me he's working on 2 different sets for each night so make sure to come to both and enjoy.  I believe they're both FREE.  So support L.A. So Chris Focus just shot me another track for ya'll to play during this FCC weekend, yeah I said IT!!! The track is called Impression and he's been sitting on this beat for a while figuring out what project to work it in with. If you listen you'll notice that the beat uses the same sample as Stakes is High. After his boys UNI redid Stakes Is High, Chris decided to just drop a lil freestyle over it rather than work it as a track. So he drops it for the masses. Enjoy. In this song Chris Focus predicts a win by Barack Obama and how the nation will rejoice and breath a sigh of relief as it looks to start fresh and gives hope to a group of people who have felt like no one cares for them in this society. Chris Focus illustrates how many elders will feel as if major strides have been made and that a great accomplishment in history has been achieved. In contrast to the intensity and rawness of part 1, part 2 looks to ease tension and give a good feeling to the listener. So as we all know, it's the big day, ELECTION DAY. A chance for history, a chance for change, redemption, etc. A lot of the youth, hip hop, underserved and underprivileged are looking to a specific man to mark the beginning of something new, deserved and better in our country. But with all positives there are negatives...and as most people that would love to see this change and hope for it, and go out and attempt to do something about it...there are still others who live to never see that day. So it makes you wonder, what could possibly go wrong. Well our resident artist Chris Focus has taken that step and expressed it through his talent: music. Part one of this series is pretty much a take on the evil of the world and it's evil will toward someone who could initiate welcome changes. Listen carefully...and as more debauchery happens on election day and with the skin head plot that was discovered weeks ago...it's something that we have all thought about or are thinking of as we vote today. But don't take it as discouragement...take it as motivation to vote for a better future and show the world to be open to CHANGE. I'll let Chris Focus take it from here....

In this small segment Chris gets it in over Mickey Factz' Incredible beat to get the crowd hype for the rest of the performance. POST 500 - INTRODUCING CHRIS FOCUS, A WORLD PREMIERE

I know I've kept ya'll waiting all day, but between my other duties and getting ready for this Vegas trip, and Blogger acting an ass at the slated time of delivery, there have been some setbacks.  Without further adieu though here it is:

So with the 500th post (how I posted this much stuff so fast ionno) I present to you something new and exclusive.  By way of FlipSide Music Group & Eazee Street Media, my blog will have the first "Resident Artist".  Everything done by this artist in particular as far as viral and web marketing will be done through Eazee Street first.  All videos, mixtapes, albums, events and merchandise will be dropped off to Eazee Street and then filtered into the streets.  Hailing from Leimert Park is Chris Focus...he's spit side by side with UNI, Mibbs of Pac Div, Diz Gibran, Melo KAN and other local talents.  Finishing school and getting the business end of his act down is why he is just ready to surface now.  Below is his new street single, California Soul from the forthcoming street album tentatively titled "What's Left?"  With production by Baby Boy (produced "How We Do It" by Lloyd f. Ludacris).  I was with Chris as he was working on this track and though he says he still has some things to tweak, I told him I had to have it.  So we agreed to drop it and see the reaction.  He's a beast so listen carefully, you might miss something...he's a beast.

So prepare to see something at least once a week from our artist Chris Focus aka the Undefeated Emcee.
