NEW VENUES - PANDORA: POP-UP NIGHTCLUB FOR HALLOWEEN

So the new thing is Pop-Up nightclubs...in this case we get Pandora.  Pandora is going to happen at Vibiana in downtown and only from tomorrow through Halloween as it is a Halloween themed pop-up.  Interesting isn't it?  Here is some more background on it below:

Introducing an otherworldly new pop-up nightclub in a stunning downtown church—Pandora by Night Visiontakes over St. Vibiana's cathedral this week.

For just a few nights, opening Pandora's box (by which we mean the front door) means you'll be entering a late-1800s holy land…that's been transformed into an empire of fog, candelabras, DJs and VIP sections where the altar and confessionals used to be. Depending on the night you choose to douse yourself in holy water and attend, you might find an interactive vampire wedding (Friday), a jazz band (also Friday) or an open bar (Friday and Saturday).

The inspiration for all this after-dark debauchery—aside from the dark beyond, obviously—is Vegas. (We'll leave it to you to discern the difference.) And after this introductory series of blowouts, you can expect to see this pop-up club pop up elsewhere throughout the country.

NEW VENUES: FOXTAIL is NOW...MI-6

So for all those who have been to or frequented Foxtail you probably know that it had been closed for awhile...well it's back open, sort of. It's now Mi-6 and the only people who've partied are the two above. The male in the picture had a bday party there recently but as of today the club is officially open to the public. Here is a quote of what the updates to the place include for those who have been before...

If you think upstairs is where you go to cool off—wrong. Another dance floor. Another DJ. More bottles. Two more bars. And if you sink deep into a curved banquette, blissfully weary if only for a moment, and happen to glance up at the coffered, mirrored ceiling above, you just might find solace in a touching film about some people who love each other very much…and also they like to writhe slowly in water, naked.

NEW VENUES: PLAYHOUSE HOLLYWOOD

So another new night spot in Hollywood...but this place is supposed to hold 1,000+ people and feel like a South Beach spot in the middle of Hollywood.  The spot will have lighting features like popular Vegas spots and a 24 hour diner on site that you can access before, during and after the club.  The same designers behind STK & Villa in Manhattan are on board.  The spot opens tonight.  I'm sure it will be a hassle to get in seeing you need to be a member to see the photos on the website...interesting.  Well don't say I didn't put you onto this first, thanks.  6506 Hollywood Blvd.

COOL VENUES - APPLE LOUNGE

For all you Angelenos that know/knew about events at PEARL Restaurant & Nightclub then you need to know about APPLE Lounge.  I always thought the layout was nice except for some problems in the "club area", but it looks as if APPLE is the upgrade of PEARL.  The layout is the same but the minor changes give it a bit more elegance.  I missed Aubrey's bday party here but oh well.  Peep the pics and maybe check the place out for an event or nice drink with friends.  Check the website here.

NEW VENUES - MYHOUSE

So anyone who knows me know I be on my HOLLYWOOD ish when my nightlifte doesn't consist of hip hop shows; and anyone who knows me KNOWS I hate GARDEN OF EDEN and I'm so happy it got closed down for remodeling. Well now Garden may be my new favorite club. It just re-opened as MYHOUSE and from the pics...IT'S FLY as FU__!!! The name is based off the theme...the club looks like an upscale designer home. I was invited to a private event there the day after Capricornication but I was still recovering. But my pals will be doing a weeknight there soon so I guess I'll be standing on those couches soon. There is bar in the fully functional "kitchen" area, a dancefloor in the "foyer", a private "bedroom" area with a bar and some "bedroom items". There is also a patio and a soon to be jacuzzi area (which someone said will be usable). From the same folks who brought you MOOD and OperaCrimson, MYHOUSE should be your next hangout. Maybe we shoulda been here for your bdays Chris & Aja

KERI HILSON x ENTREE SUNDAYS

My boys is having a special guest host for their regular Sunday night, and I wouldn't mind seeing her in person. This past Sunday was fun even if it was raining hard outside. I ended up at a table right next to Busta Rhymes as we popped grey goose and Busta did his dance to that Arab Money song...yo Sean G, how many times did you play that track. Either way the club went crazy. And speaking of DJ Sean G...he'll be dropping off a lil' gift to the Eazee Street neighbors very soon. This event is invite only...or try and come early before any line shows up...you may get lucky. Shouts out to Premier (we hung out all last weekend). If you're nice I'll throw up some pics of the "scenery" for last week's Sunday night.

COOL VENUES - ONE SUNSET

One Sunset has been the venue of choice lately...and I have yet to go. I've been stepping back from the Hollywood club scene but I heard it was fly...so I checked out their site to see for myself. It looks to have a great ambience and it's also one of those trendy eateries as well. It has all the trendy appetizers, couple sushi choices, ceviche, sliders and even gets into the pricey steak entrees. They offer some "ONE of everything" plate for $45. That actually got my attention. So if you want to have a cool meal, catch a buzz then stay to party...find out what night plays the music you like and make a reservation with the restaurant.

NEW VENUES: TOKIO is now: ECCO

If you know about Tokio on Cahuenga u know it was a cool low key spot to hang and have as an alternative space to the picky, so called elite Hollywood scene.  Well now the place has been revamped and renamed.  Tokio is now ECCO, the 1st nightclub to GO GREEN (I mean valet is FREE if you drive a hybrid).  Word is everything in the place is recycled, salvaged, organic, energy efficient, etc.  They have organic food to dine with and organic gins as well as a signature drink: Absinthe-Minded (which is organic yet still may cause hallucinations).  ECCO has several huge sponsors including: Heineken (Dom let's go), FIJI water (Randi), 944, Monster Energy, 360 Vodka, just to name a few.  The soft opening was last night...couldn't make it I was too busy tearing down a private party for Microsoft with Convinced (photos coming soon)...the official opening won't happen until sometime in November.  So if you want a private party, go for it...if not just wait.

VENUES - OPERA|CRIMSON

Here are a couple shots of that club I seem to frequent on Sundays...Opera|Crimson.  2 Clubs in 1 and it was the set for Usher's "Love in This Club" video.  And as the top photo indicates...anyone can stop in at any time.  If ever you have a connect here...GO!!!  On Sundays is where Entree goes down...c/o Premier Ent., MADE Ent., Elevated LA & JL.  Oh and those are chinchilla couches with matching walls...yessir.

THE White Party for Memorial Day Weekend

There are plenty of "WHITE PARTIES" that go on during the Memorial Day weekend...but none are as fly, fun and flashy as THE WHITE PARTY thrown by the Hollywood All Stars, consisting of my folks at Premier Entertainment and Elevated LA, as well as MADE Ent. and now JL. Going down at the premier Hollywood Spot OperaCrimson on what would usually be a great night at Entree...expect the 4th Annual White Party to make Entree 4x cooler than normal. For this event make sure you have a connect here or you're not getting in...you can come by at 2:15AM and see what you missed...
