It's been a minute since I brought an art event to your attention so here is a little something I stumbled on while surfing the net, namely High Snobiety. Below is the info I 'quoted' from them:

Curated by Nip Tuck’s John Hensley and Linkin Park’s Joe Hahn, Celeritas (Latin for speed) is a show that communicates their passion for motorcycle culture as well as fine art and street art. Raising money and awareness for the Riders for Health organization, over seventeen artists contributed beautiful works of art, using motorcycle helmets, Alpinestars’ suits and a Suzuki Hayabusa as canvases.

In addition to participating as a sponsor, Alpinestars worked in conjunction with artist Dr. Romanelli. Using an Alpinestars racing suit, gloves and boots as a template and Mad Max as inspiration, Dr. Romanelli has deconstructed and reinterpreted the motorcycle suit.

Other legendary artists participating in the show include Barry McGee, Joe Hahn, Mike Shinoda, Mark Dean Veca, Audrey Kawasaki, Jim Lee, James Jean, Stash, Futura, Jesse James, Jeff McMillan, Alex Pardee, Troy Lee, Usugrow, Estevan Oriol and Nathan Cabrera. The show takes places at SURU and runs until August 13th.

GOOD FOOD: TAX DAY at TASTE ON MELROSE

So I've been to Taste before and they have a great Happy Hour already...but because it's tax day the Happy Hour is going all day long...and from 11:30AM - 7PM today they have the Taxtini's for $1...you already know where you can go if you work, live or like that side of town.  It's just east of La Cienega so if you can I'd say GO!!!  TASTE at 8454 Melrose.

Okay so I'm a tad late on these...but the holidays will do that to you. Anyways, late or not, I'm fucking with these tees right here. The above is my favorite out of all the ones i've seen, but overall I always think they come with it. When I told people about the line I was laughed at...then Jay Z starts rocking it and everyone wants a Crooks piece of clothing.
