R.I.P. M-BONE of CALI SWAG DISTRICT

Been a minute since I've updated the blog and sadly this first post isn't a happy one.  M-Bone from the group Cali Swag District was killed over the weekend, fatally shot in the head twice.  As of right now there don't seem to be many details on the situation.  You've seen me post different things from Cali Swag District and I met many of the people that worked with them...condolences go out to the friends and family as well as the fans he's touched.

14 years ago today at 4:03pm...he left us.  Hip Hop changed immensely after this day.

And on this day we lost an angel...I don't need to speak on her significance for a handful of generations, all you have to do is play a song to know.

DOLLA - ROLE MODEL (MUSIC DOWNLOAD)

No more than 2 days after the 1yr Anniversary of his murder, Dolla's accused killer was acquitted of ALL charges.  It doesn't add up but I don't know all the details...but from what I read up on I don't see how the man was allowed to walk free.  Many believe that the jury was sympathetic to the killer because of his background compared to Dolla's background.  To highlight some of the positivity that Dolla was looking to put out to the world his people decided to leak this song to the masses as well as his fans, so they can remember Dolla as his family and friends do.  Enjoy.

No matter what your passion is in life, your calling, your career move...Michael Jackson was an influence. My youngest brother is an animator, he has no desire to hit the stage, he doesn't dance much but still, Michael has made an impact on his life as Mike actually impacted us all, if he didn't I wouldn't have posted this, my brother wouldn't have drawn it, Y-O wouldn't moonwalk during UNI shows, Kanye wouldn't try to make many musicals at his concert, 50 wouldn't want to perform all over the world with his music, Chris Brown wouldn't dance like he does, Oprah wouldn't give to poor countries, etc. No matter what Michael did, he did it big and he did it his way...as we all should strive to do in our own lives. So over this weekend...celebrate his life because it's a part of yours.
