Ionno what Diddy is trying to do with this video but it looks like a mockery, a bit of a reach, trying to hard, something just isn't right with this. I appreciate Diddy's business sense, his hustle, etc and I can admire his plan to continue his legacy with the family and families of his people, but I feel at this point it's being forced. I mean are these kids 8...and the line lil Combs says in regards to LA, he should be thrown over a knee and spanked. Now let's revisit these two kids at around 17 yrs old and see if they have the talents their fathers have before we do interviews like this Diddy. Rev Run > JoJo

The King of NY at one time, a prominent emcee with undeniable charisma and one of the greatest.  As we all know in March his life was taken way too soon and before any of us could see his full potential.  Murdered in our city, for who knows what.  But we all know that story, today we celebrate his bday and in that we remember his legacy and contribution to hip hop.  If you have BIG tracks play them as a way to celebrate.  Peace.

R.I.P. to B.I.G. | MARCH 9TH

Today is a day many of us will never forget...for me it's always been the day my baby sister was introduced to the world, and eight years later it also became the day that Christopher Wallace was gunned down in my hometown.  There are many speculations, was it revenge from Death Row, revenge from Pac's people, a crazy fan, or some folks that Puff or BIG hadn't paid yet.  Either way, the incident was the perfect backdrop for the East/West beef.  The man was 24, which I thought was old at the time...and now I look back and realize he had way more life to live.  The man didn't even get to see his biggest success happen.  He's not my top rapper, but he is definitely one of the greats...though I was bangin' Death Row and my coast in general (being young and caught up in the hype) I was and still am a BIG fan, period.  The man's wordplay, storytelling ability and overall charisma made him a perfect product, something rappers are still trying to mimic to this day.  He was a game changer like his friend/rival 2 Pac, and like his death, BIG's death changed the hip hop game forever.  Ironically what still gets me to this day is that I was almost at that same party.  All of 16 years old, I still had some connects back then.  I was at another party that night and saw the tension between Death Row & Bad Boy street teams...and something in the air wasn't right.  2 hours after I get home, I heard Biggie was shot.  My first reaction was rather disgraceful...I was telling folks; "told u they'd shoot that fool if he was gonna stay out here like he run this city".  But after learning he died I felt dumb and ignorant for even glorifying the stupidity that fans and media hyped up and ate up as entertainment, when at the heart of the matter it was something serious that had brewed between 2 former friends.  No one knows why they died, but it is most likely they died over some bullshit that my and older generations cheered on.  R.I.P. 2 B.I.G.  Your legacy remains and your music then is still better or as good as 88% of what's out now.  If you're a Biggie fan or a fan of Hip Hop in general...light one up for Mr. Wallace and knock ya favorite Biggie track.

Every year at this time, the hip hop community takes a moment to commemorate the life, the genius, and the legacy of the Notorious BIG. This year, in honor of the late great emcee, Draze salutes Brooklyn's finest with a Mixtape Movie titled, "The Notorious, Life after Death" featuring DJ B Mello. 

In his own words Draze says, " I've always been a Biggie fan, so this was my way of paying homage. I tried to channel his energy as best I could. The greatest honor for me was hearing someone say it was even half way believable." 

Never short on Cameo appearances, this MixtapeMovie promises to deliver its fair share of gossip and barber shop talk. With this video Draze channels Biggie and ponders the question "what if" Frank White could get one day with his loved ones and the city he carried on his back? What would he think of hip hop, how would he address the women in his life ( Lil Kim, Faith), and what would he think of long time friends, Diddy and Jay Z reaching mogul status? 

Many have speculated as to what the original King of NY would say... Well today, I think we are getting a glimpse.

I know I've been trying to keep ya'll up to date with Nipsey Hussle who's on his grind and gives that street edge to the LA Hip Hop Scene that's getting more and more attention.  I dropped his video for Hussle In the House right here and I told ya'll I be bumpin' it when I'm rolling around my city...well yesterday was no different when I pulled up to the Wing Stop near me with my cousin.  As 'Hussle' was bumpin' out the whip, Hussle was standing right in front.  He showed us love for showing his music love.  We chopped it up for a bit and he was cool dude...so look for more Nipsey Hussle dropping here on Eazee Street.  I'm in support of all the hip hop in LA, that means that gangsta sh!t too...like it or not, I'm rolling with Nipsey Hussle...keep grinding my dude.  Check out his Biggie Tribute Freestyle below, peace.  Check his site out too.
