Because some of you may have missed it yesterday here are a few clips from the countdown that LA's very own, Inglewood to be exact, UNI hosted yesterday. Other clips of UNI will be shown on MTV2 throughout the week. I found every clip but the one where they show the artwork for UNI's first project: Fried Chicken & Watermelon (I did that). So yesterday I hit you with DeviDev's EPK put together by DRG Films. Well they came right back with one for the homie Faahz. If you haven't see Faahz beatbox live during a UNI set, you have failed as a hip hop fan (real talk) and need to change that before this summer. Also Faahz produced UNI's Soul Hop and the banger See L.A. off the Before There Was Love mixtape. So peep this out and get to know him a lil better. Peace.

In case you ain't know...UNI is in the new XXL.  I picked up an issue or two while in Vegas for MAGIC.  LA/Inglewood is steady making moves.  Too bad they had to share ink with this lame copycat coon type rapper from ATL.  But pick up the issue anyway.  Nipsey Hussle is in the issue as well...LA STAND UP!!!

Now I've had this video up on my vimeo page for quite some time...I mean this video was filmed over a year ago.  But I uploaded at the wrong quality, so I finally re-exported and re-uploaded and it looks much better.  So in celebration of throwback thursdays (no pun intended) I'm reposting this video once again.  I filmed, edited and all that good stuff so I could share with you all.  So peep a hot day in the fall of 07 as I hung out with UNI, Tomas Whitmore, El Prez and more as this MTV masterpiece was created.  I holla back soon.

Black Milk of had a release party in NYC for Tronic and Vimby went to check it out. If you pay attention to it...u'll see that those Inglewood boys, UNI are out there in NYC gettin' that love. Black Milk was out here a couple weekends ago playing some joints off Tronic (among other projects) at BOOMBOX LA.

UNI x ORISUE - “The Great Unknown” 2008 Holiday Collection

Lo' and behold who's in the new Orisue 2008 Holiday Collection images...YO and "Friday" of UNI.  Yes he is still Friday until I get my hands on that track...you know what song it is Yannick!!!!  But I know UNI has been moving with Orisue during their road of hard work so to see them featured in as models is pretty cool...especially when you see these dudes on various fashion websites (not music).  Inglewood stand up and be proud.

So you're probably wondering how I came across J. Cole to get a CD from him...like I said he had a show here in L.A. with those cats you see on Eazee Street all the time: UNI. In this post I'll just hit you with some pics of UNI gettin' in LIVE on "stage" with the band Me & Them. They did tracks from their street classic: Fried Chicken & Watermelon as well as songs from their upcoming A Love Supreme project. Next post...other local talent and J. Cole + UNI. Keep it locked.

UNI - HOLLYWOOD HIATUS

Yeah I was here for this performance...I'm actually in it...hopefully no one notices. But yeah if "FRIDAY" doesn't send me this track so I can drop it for your enjoyment...I'mma "bring the beef to his front door like Domino's" (c/ Lloyd Bank$). And he knows that he is Friday of the group YO & him (not UNI) until that happens. This was at The Exactly's 1 Yr Anniversary event last Saturday. Oh and FCC member E Dub is in this clip wildin' out. By the way, this track is off the upcoming Love Supreme project. "Friday" let me hear this track awhile ago...but I'm still waitin on my COPY!!!

So like I mentioned earlier...UNI aka Thurzday & YO were at CSUN opening for Ludacris and I was out there hanging with the crew.  A fun time of course...here are a few of the 100+ pics I took.  So quick so fast, I know.  Got a lil video too...I'll drop that in a day or 2.  It's good to see that that MTV VMA hasn't made UNI let up one bit...as they seem to be busier than ever.  I'll post some more pics and a link to all of them later.
