NIPSEY HUSSLE x LAPD; FUCK THE POLICE

After reading this article over at HipHop DX about how the Police targeted one of Nipsey's shows to do a gang sweep really upset me.  I don't condone the gang lifestyle but it's a choice some people have chosen...we could get into the all the reasons why...but either way these are people at the end of the day.  To me, to target an event where people are celebrating one of their own turning their life around for the better is very lame and spiteful.  If KKK were gathering to celebrate their music which I'm sure would suggest racism, bigotry, etc...I guarantee the police would never raid their event to try and catch members of a hate group.  All I can say is keep doing your thing Nipsey...the streets, the nets and the people are behind you.

Local phenom Nipsey Hu$$le just dropped a new track to the public via OnSmash today.  It's only right they get it first since they'll be dropping his upcoming mixtape Bullets Ain't Got No Names vol. 3 in late June.  I chose the pic above because it will be done in part with DJ Whoo Kid (a good look), the Empire & local streetwear giant, Crooks & Castles.  Peep the track, and hit HipHopDX as well, Nipsey got that DX Next today I saw.

Murs said he enjoys porn chicks...and he had an interesting time off camera after he met Roxy Reynolds and Candace Von on Shade45's Lip Service show...so I guess it's only right that he has Roxy as a lead girl in his new video. Peep it out. Hip Hop DX premiered this.

CROOKED I ADDRESSES SHOOTING RUMOR...

I hadn't heard the rumor, but I know that talk was floating around on the West Coast that Crooked I had gone missing, something might've happened, etc...he's not giving much details but it's evident something happened to him, but nothing as extreme to the point that he was killed or badly injured.  From what he says I can't say that he's 100% mentally/emotionally.  Shouts to Crooked in hopes that everything is good or will be good.  Go here for his words.

Keys to the City: L.A. - U-N-I

Interestingly enough Y-O video IM'd me last night as Thurz was playing drums for Guitar Hero, Rock Band...one of those games I don't play.  That was probably the highlight of my lowkey sunday night.  I asked him what's new and he sure didn't mention this...so i had to swipe it from The Dope House.  A new series from HipHop DX & URB...and they start it with those cool Inglewood guys.  Enjoy.

LOCAL SPOTLIGHT: MEET TRE BEATZ

I may end up liking this song Spanglish from Game's new album...cuz i just found out one of the homies did the production on it.  Shaping up to be my favorite song and I ain't even heard it yet, lol.  I met Tre through some close friends of mine...before guiding JT's music he was actually cutting my friends' hair.  Last I saw him he was macking to one of my homegirls outside of Boulevard 3, lol.  Good to see someone fulfill their dreams.  Check for him in the future, and peep the writeup on HipHopDX
