URB.com just announced it's lineup for their huge showcase at SXSW this year.  Click on the flyer for more details.  There are definitely some names that Eazee Street folks should recognize.  The announcement via URB.com is below:

On Thursday, March 18th, Peter Rosenberg of Hot 97 with Platinum producer and DJ, Don Cannon, will host a talented and diverse group of artists that reads as a who’s who of today’s most promising emerging acts during URB Magazine’s Official Next 100 stage at Light Bar located at 408 Congress Avenue in Austin, TX.  This event will coincide with the popular SXSW festival taking place at the same time.

URB.com has joined forces with esteemed promoter, Fadia Kader and the Leaders of the New Cool team of Hollywood East Entertainment to bring music fans the premier showcase featuring the brightest stars in emerging music.

Artists scheduled to grace the URB stage include: 88 Keys, ADaD + Exile, BJ The Chicago Kid, Brittany Bosco, Chiddy Bang, Curtains, Diz Gibran, Dom Kennedy, Don Will, Donnis, El Prez, FKi, Freddie Gibbs, Game Rebellion, Grillade, Hollyweerd, Izza Kizza, Jinx, Kid Daytona, Laws, Mic Terror, Nikkie Jean, Outasight, Phil Ade, Pill, Really Doe, Spree Wilson, Stalley, Tiara Wiles, TiRon, Von Pea, Wil May, XO, Yelawolf, and Young Scolla.

ADaD is just racking them up. The Chicago emcee was named to URB’s 25 Now, had an interesting Taco lunch and is currently working on a full length album with L.A.’s Exile. ADaD made a trip out to the Sunshine state early last month to start the project, and he took the RH cam with him (shouts to Adam Leaders). THOSE CHOSEN in URB DIGITAL EDITION's 25 NOW

My boys of Those Chosen repping the 909 are featured as part of URB's 25 Now which you can find in their digital edition that dropped.  A good look for the coast.  I put ya'll on them awhile ago but some people never listen until NahRight or my boys at 2Dopeboyz tell you about it.  Rumor has it that the cover story of this URB was written by someone right here from LA.  He's my boy and I've featured his work before but I'll let you read the cover story first and see if you recognize the name.  The issue is right here.  Those chosen featured on page 30.

JASON PARHAM x URB x ODB

My boy Jason just did an interesting piece on Ol' Dirty Bastard that every hip hop fan, or person in general should check out. He has an online column for URB now so you need to keep up with him...he's a good writer, and he reps the city all day. If you didn't know he is responsible for that VIBE look for Diz, UNI, Dom, Shawn Jackson and Fashawn with the New West feature. Jason's column is right here.

Keys to the City: L.A. - U-N-I

Interestingly enough Y-O video IM'd me last night as Thurz was playing drums for Guitar Hero, Rock Band...one of those games I don't play.  That was probably the highlight of my lowkey sunday night.  I asked him what's new and he sure didn't mention this...so i had to swipe it from The Dope House.  A new series from HipHop DX & URB...and they start it with those cool Inglewood guys.  Enjoy.
