WU-TANG x ROCKSMITH HOLIDAY 2010 CAPSULE COLLECTION

The homies at Rocksmith have this capsule collection going after the success of their Wu-Massacre collaboration.  The pieces should hit retail next month, get some background here:

Following the success of the Wu Massacre collaboration, Rocksmith graphically interprets the birth of the Wu Legend in a series of five tee shirts. They are delivered with a hoodie, knit headwear and a premium M65 jacket-all made in the USA. The Iron Flag M65 jacket, constructed of leather and melton wool, fuses the design elements of a M65 with a classic varsity. The C.R.E.A.M. hoodie features twill appliqued lettering with zig zag stitching. From the 36 Chambers tee to the most iconic cassette in hip hop, Raekwon’s Purple Tape, this collection is for the true fans, aficionados and crate diggers.

RAEKWON, GHOSTFACE & NAS - VERBAL INTERCOURSE LIVE (VIDEO)

Ok let me get my old school NY rap fan on real quick...I missed Rock the Bells but now I wish I went to some of the shows outside of LA.  For the DC stop, Rae brought out Nas for the classic Verbal Intercourse.  Man to have been there would've been an accomplishment in life for me, lol.

JASON PARHAM x URB x ODB

My boy Jason just did an interesting piece on Ol' Dirty Bastard that every hip hop fan, or person in general should check out. He has an online column for URB now so you need to keep up with him...he's a good writer, and he reps the city all day. If you didn't know he is responsible for that VIBE look for Diz, UNI, Dom, Shawn Jackson and Fashawn with the New West feature. Jason's column is right here.

RAEKWON x OLIVER B - TALKING ABOUT OB4CL2

I meant to post this in the morning before I left but it didn't happen that way...anyways my girl Ashley sent this over. As you know Raekwon is a supporter of not just underground hip hop, but the bubbling West Coast scene, music and culture. So with that and the fact he is part of the legendary Wu-Tang Clan. Read below to get the lowdown on the video above:

"Raekwon Interviewed by filmmaker/journalist Oliver Brian, the first to interview him about his new album "Only Built for Cuban Linx 2" dropping in 2009. They touch on the foundation of his original theme of "Only Built for Cuban Linx" and how Raekwon pays tribute to the original conception with his new album. They also speak on the influence of the theme coming from his experiences on the street and how it dictated he content for his albums."
