Remember when Format recreated the classic hip hop album covers with the Lego men??? Well they're back with Simpson-ized hip hop heavyweights past and present. The prints are designed by the Moxy Creative and the posse shot goes for about $45 but is limited to only 100 prints. Special orders for individual artists go for $55 and must be ordered via email: editors@formatmag.com

FORMAT Mag x LEGO x HIP HOP ALBUM COVERS

I thought on some ol' art ish...this was pretty cool and creative. Format took 20 classic hip hop covers (I don't necessarily agree that all of them are classic nor were the corresponding albums classic, but memorable nonetheless) and recreated them with Legos. Interesting concept. You can go to Formatmag.com to peep some others and the original artwork to compare with. Dr. Dre is up top because it was a classic album and it's one of the few West Coast albums chosen.

Thurz and YO featured in another publication...check it out
