Ok this isn't another movie already...it's actually a game. If it looks anything like this, this game might kill a couple games in it's genre. The OG fans will love this as far as character design...OH and Grimlock is in it.
There's been a big push behind this game and I see the commercial just about everyday. If you haven't seen it Nipsey Hussle is one of the faces, a good look for Los Angeles Hip Hop. Anyways, my folks at Karmaloop were at the launch party and caught with a number of different folks to discuss the game...enjoy.
Yeah there are plenty of hip hop and fashion heads that enjoy updated versions of video game classics...Marvel vs Capcom really changed the landscape of fighting games (as do many Capcom games) and to see them making a 3rd installment sounds fresh. Some cool folks will be happy to challenge each other while some of the geeks out there are probably pissing their pants. Peep it.
As you can tell I've been paying attention to video games a bit more as of late...and when video games that define an era of life are recreated, expanded on, etc...it's only right we give it some shine. NBA Jam last week, Street Fighter today...nice.
I believe this game drops this week...at least that's what my video game connects say. All the videos I've seen look pretty good and with Kobe on the cover I'm pretty much compelled to buy this. It's been a while since I purchased a 2K Hoop game. Saw 10 seconds of this clip yesterday...seeing the full commercial I must say this is dope.
The title of this upcoming game threw me off but the fact that it's another installment of GTA (guns, violence and crime) is good enough to convince me. Interesting from the looks of it...doesn't look like (at least in the trailer) that your character is going to do any pause-worthy action.
Some real life moves here from the virtual Kobe...virtual Eric Gordon gets abused in this commercial, but at least the Clippers are getting some kind of commercial plug. Spotted over at Josh's spot.
I really want one of these, I still love my PS2 slim...but if any foxy lady wants to buy me one of these, she would 1) be a very thoughtful woman and 2) would know how to keep me in the house, ha. In September the 120 GB drops for $300. A 250 GB is coming sooner than later. The new sleek designs are always better than the first...overall Sony's asthetic > Microsoft's...POINT BLANK. Actually PS > XBOX overall.
Tamby of Cashmere Agency sent over this clip of J. Rocc & Babu getting familiar with the new Fight Night game from EA. Peep it out and see what they think. They're also challenging folks so see what that's about.
So I'm watching Game 1 of the NBA Finals...or what I call Kobe Bryant's Road to Redemption. So see what it took for him to get back here after last year's @$$ whoopin'. Oh and by the way, that is the cover for next year's NBA2K series...for that alone I'll go 2K instead of LIVE next season. As you can see, Kobe is back as a brand to be marketed on television. Soak it up haters...oh and as a bonus Lil Wayne made a song about him. I heard about this song from a very reliable source, but I didn't know Wayne was dropping it already; he just did it Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Song link courtesy of 2Dopeboyz.
So PSP has undergone a small makeover...the newest version features a new slide out feature for the controls, a 3.8" screen, bluetooth and 16GB of memory. It's also supposedly 43% lighter in weight and loses it's UMD drive. How do you play the games or movies with now UMD you ask...well you can now basically download them to a flash memory drive directly from the PSN store (seems like manufacturing jobs will be lost). Interesting, peep the video too for more info.
