KDAY: Sold and Ready for Reformatting

Speaking of Los Angeles legends coming to an end, KDAY has been sold and rumored to no longer be a hip-hop station. Though I wasn't always on board with some of the things KDAY did when it re-emerged as an FM station, the station did plenty for the city of Los Angeles. You never really appreciate these types of things until they are gone. A big salute to KDAY, for better or for worse the station will ultimately be missed.

KENDRA WILKINSON SHAKES IT FOR TOO SHORT at 93.5 KDAY'S KRUSH GROOVE CONCERT 2010

You may remember Kendra "rapping" on MTV before she got married, had a baby, received a reality show.  Well on the show Too Short was her "rap mentor" and the two became friends.  Well during Too Short's performance at Krush Groove this past weekend, Kendra came to support Short Dog by shaking her ass to Blow the Whistle on stage.  Jokes indeed...check it out.

BEST OF 2009 with DEVI DEV (VIDEO)

As a bonus Devi Dev even gave me her Best of 2009.  She's not an artist but she is very much a large part of the Los Angeles Hip Hop community.  She gives her picks as well as what she wants to see in hip hop for 2010.  Enjoy and keep up with Dev at her website as well.  PS: she didn't give me a Moment of Truth yesterday so she said we could release her Best of 2009 today.

I was just saying to myself yesterday...I haven't posted a BC TV episode recently, I'm going to need to hit up B. Then on the late night work hours I got hit with a link via GChat. So it was going up but when I clicked to see what was going on I see it was an interview with LA's Music Queen: DEVI DEV (of KDAY & HardKnock TV fame). So with all coming together I was like yeah this goes up for Tuesday. Check out the interview...it's a good one. Shouts to Broccoli City and Devi Dev.

Okay I know many of us have stopped listening to the radio...but there is hope still.  In steps DeviDev, LA native, great personality and drive, on point intellectually and has the pretty face and beautiful smile to round it all out.  Her rise to dominating the radio/media world is taking it's course.  She's also the only woman to make me bash my head into a wall until i bled (inside joke).  DRG Films (who I met at the VIMBY party) who you know from the UNI - A LOVE SUPREME sessions (see below) just dropped her EPK.  So watch this (twice) and get to know my girl DeviDev.  Good folks.  Peace.  Check her out on MySpace & Twitter.
