SKEME - COMMERCIAL BREAK 1 (VIDEO & BEHIND THE SCENES)

Skeme drops one of the four Commercial Breaks from Skeme of Things 2 in video format. I liked the audio and the video works with it (if you know Skeme it makes sense). Looking forward to seeing what the next three will look like. I didn't get a chance to drop the BTS footage yesterday so I included it in this post right there above these words. Enjoy.

Just saw this via Twitter, I clicked on the link and enjoyed what I heard so I figured I'd share with the people. This is Lite's song E.T.L. (Extra Terrestrial Lovers) featuring Def Sound (which I've posted here) and Roosevelt (responsible for Skeme's many bangers on SOT2). I think if i was intoxicated at a social venue and this came on...I'd be in a good zone. Check it out.

So this past Tuesday marked another good night at Broccoli Kung Pao, this time featuring the release party for Skeme.  This was not your typical hip hop head nod zone out in your own corner event...Skeme got the place TURNT up for lack of a better word.  A lively set and a party atmosphere that continued even after, a good time had by all.  Many other artists came out to show love and support for Skeme such as Chris Focus, Y-O, TiRon, El Prez, HOPE, Overdoz, among others. Stunna was in the building getting the Broccoli City crew and I just right.  Cire rocked a set just before Skeme that made some people pay attention to what he has going on...as you can see it was lively night and some people were a lil more out there than others...and if you haven't, DOWNLOAD Skeme of Things 2 right here.

Ladies and gentlemen I present something new: Eazee Street x Broccoli City present "2x2".  The basis is two blogs, 2 artists, one good interview.  We have a few of these in the works and we're looking to make this a dope series highlighting all sorts of the talent our city has to offer.  I showed ya'll the New Boyz video last week and told you I had something brewing with them.  Well our boy Skeme is familiar with Jerkin,' so when given the opportunity to interview the New Boyz and trying to figure out who to use for the first installment of "2x2"; I was like this is perfect.  So peep it out and stay tuned for more...and don't forget to d/l Skeme of Things 2, hit up the release party 2nite at Broccoli Kung Pao...and you will see Skeme jerking there (trust me)...and keep up with the New Boyz right here.

So like I said before, I fux with Skeme...I've heard pieces of this project as he was putting together and last week while he was out puttin' in some work for Eazee Street (which I'm grateful for) he laced me with a copy.  I took a listen and I must say I'm feeling this project.  Skeme is definitely in his own lane as he gives come of the harder content a la Nipsey Hussle or Jay Rock yet with the style and sound of something you'd expect from our Diz Gibrans, El Prez and UNI's of the LA Renaissance.  His down to earth attitude and his energy in his music should make you appreciate his offering and his hustle.  Brought to you by SOX, Fresh 2 Def, Diamond, Eazee Street and another FCC fam: 2 Dopeboyz, plus more...u basically gotta fux with it too!!!

As you prepare for the DROP of Skeme of Things 2 by Inglewood emcee Skeme, check out this footage that Drew shot over to me.  It's a lil background on Skeme of Things 2 as well as Nothing Short of Amazing (dropping sooner than you think).  You also get to see the making of Maybach Music 2 (Skeme-mix) with Chris Focus.  Cire is also on the track.  The track is actually not on Skeme of Things 2, but will be finding itself on something else (stay tuned).

SKEME - COMMERCIAL BREAK 4

1) I fux with Skeme, 2) I fux with his music, 3) he has his own lane on this LA scene and 4) I'm feeling this artwork.  Very abstract and unexpected I'm sure for the lane that many people would love to keep Skeme boxed in.  I'm anticipating this project as I've heard a good taste of it.  And from what I've hear already...you'll be pleased.  AND YES...he will be up on that sidescroll after he drops.  But with this new leak...I have to let Skeme give you his words.  This was a painful leak for him and after you read it you'll know why.

I listen to this song in tears missing my big brother and mentor in rhyme. I wanted to be like the man that died yesterday. This is hard to even type but I know that he watches over me with pride now just like he did when he was here. With that being said here's Commercial Break Four this was a commemoration for Chad "Pimp C" Butler but now my memories are also shared with Roderick Anthony "Dolla" Burton II you're gone but never forgotten. Peace and love to all of those reading this.
