THROWBACK THURZDAYS | CATCHING UP: KANYE WEST, BIG DADDY KANE & DIGITAL UNDERGROUND

Because of numerous, random reasons that I don't feel like figuring out right now...I neglected the Throwback Thurzdays for almost 3 weeks now. But since it wasn't on purpose and Thurzday has sent me his pics it's only right we just give you what you've been missing. With all the talk of Kanye's antics you should have an idea of why he's here, lol. The other two, bonafide classics ya'll. Enjoy.

SHAWN CHRYSTOPHER - QUDDUS TESTIMONIAL & HEARTBREAKER (LIVE)

Quddus offers his insight as to why the homie Shawn Chrys is more than just an average emcee and you also get to see the song Heartbreaker performed LIVE at Echoplex last weekend. I have exclusive footage of the first time Shawn Chrystopher performed the song LIVE with Chris Focus but I have to give my video editing program some more space so I can put together some more footage without it quitting on me. So for now enjoy this...and everyone twit Shawn, or Facebook and MySpace him about posting the next episode of the Shawn Chrys x Eazee Street: Inside the Mind of Shawn Chrystopher.

KENDRICK LAMAR (formerly K. DOT of TDE) - TODAY (NEW MUSIC)

Formerly K. Dot, I've learned via Jay Rock's twitter that K. Dot is now using his real name and not an alias or stage name in accordance of just being real. I applaud the effort and what he's standing for and actually like this as the name instead of K. Dot. The government name seems to already make him look like an artist rather than another rapper in someone's camp or a sidekick kind of deal. Here is his song "Today" which is on a smooth tip so check it out.

24K Milkcrate.com caught up with some LA emcees as they were hanging out during the show up in SF last Friday and made some interesting conversation with them. Check it out...I must say these guys asked some good stuff and made me want to step my interview game up...thing is ya'll haven't seen anything yet. But it's good to see there are people out there that want to ask interesting things these days.

KR3W PHANTOM WATCH

These watches here caught my eye today and I think they are pretty good. Only $50 but without looking cheap and staying classy. I posted a few of the colors I think work well but as you can see from the top pic there are other options. They haven't dropped everywhere yet but if you want to get a jump on your friends go here.

THE HUNDREDS by JUN CHA

Spotted this at HighSnobiety and this is what they had to say about it:

The Hundreds commissioned artist Jun Cha to create a series of items paying tribute to five black and gray masters. Here’s a first look at some select pieces from the collection, including a New Eras, t-shirts, skate decks and a beanie each bearing Jun’s signature tattoo-based artwork. Available Friday morning at both THLA and THSF. To get the full story, be sure to stop by The Hundreds and Jun’s Black & Gray show at Canvas Gallery over the weekend of Oct 2 – Oct 3, 2009.
