The young lady from "Like A G6" fame is back with another video directed by the homie Ethan Lader.  Speaking of Ethan Lader, he is one of two directors with multiple videos on the Myspace Music Top 30 Videos of the Year that was done in conjunction with Coca-Cola.  His videos for Dev's "Booty Bounce" and Bruno Mars' "Just The Way You Are".  Shouts to Ethan having his talents recognized.

MATEO - UNDERNEATH THE SKY vol. 3

It's been a minute between the vol. 2 and this new mixtape but some new things have happened for the young artist.  Details below:

After weeks of speculation, former MySpace Records recording artist MATEO makes a vague, yet public announcement that he is no longer with the label he has been with for the last year and a half. After playing to a nearly sold-out audience at the world famous SOB’S in New York City on December 2nd and a sold out intimate show at Los Angeles’s famous Hotel Café on January 26th, MATEO has kept fairly quiet while in the studio working on his debut album and highly anticipated follow up to his previous mixtape.

 

The alternative R&B singer/songwriter has continued to receive a lot of buzz with his music being described by UndertheGun.com as “of the Urban movement, mixing pop and alternative with classic R&B.” MATEO quickly rose to notoriety after the release of his first mixtape “Making My Space” and the groundbreaking cinematic mixtape series that followed “Underneath The Sky”. The release of "Get To Know Me: Live at Swing House" in September 2009 has only added to his continuous rise and saw MATEO take his "Get To Know Me" Tour to college campuses around the country in the Fall of 2009. This was followed by the release of MATEO’S first music video “Get To Know Me” which was quickly picked up by MTVU, Fuse, and Music Choice. Mateo is one of Concrete Loop’s “Ones to Watch” and Singers Room “30 Under 30.”

Last week me and JC went up to On the Rox to support Shawn Chrystopher's performance at the MySpace Music x Kid Cudi listening party. It was good time and I took some pics as you can see. Tunji was in the building hosting and DJ Qwess was there as well. Eazee Street's resident artist Chris Focus was there in support and surprised the crowd by taking the stage for the fan favorite "Heartbreaker" of of A City With No Seasons. A good night so next time you hear Shawn Chrys is performing...BE THERE!!!

Here is MySpace Music, Shawn Chrystopher friend, Los Angeles artist and a man making a name in his own right.  Quddus sent this over but I didn't get a chance to post it yesterday.  This is Underneath The Sky, Mixtape: Chapter 2.  The concept is dope if you didn't already know, Mateo takes the mixtape songs and molds a story that in turn become part of a short film.  This mixtape features Teairra Marie, Kardinal Ofishall and Outasight.  Check out the short film here.
