NIKE Black History Month Collection Drops This Weekend

Select Nike retailers will be carrying this collection that releases tomorrow. I'm really feeling the collection on the basketball side of things [pictured above]. You've seen the campaign "Be Bold. Be True" in an earlier post and now I get to show off the details. My personal favorites are the Kobe's and the bomber jacket. Hit the jump to see the details of each shoe as well as the lifestyle shoes and apparel.

size? x NIKE SPORTSWEAR BLAZER "ORANGE"

Many people knew about the pack already but had no idea about the 3rd colorway pictured above.  These are clean and I'm more so liking these than the other colorways.  Not sure when these are dropping but the same retailers that would have the other colorways will be carrying these. UPDATE: these drop here on September 3rd aka THIS FRIDAY.  Only 300 pairs will be available.

STICK MONSTER LAB for NIKE SPORTSWEAR (VIDEO)

A cool animated clip involving characters of the Stick Monster Lab of Seoul, Korea that was done for Nike.  To go along with it there is an installation and apparel that can be purchased in Seoul...but since we can't really go there just because I didn't bother to post any of those images.  I did think the video was cool so I'm sharing that with you.  Enjoy.

L.A. is officially representing with this video here...and it's dope to see that Nike is the platform.  Words via Nike below:

The man's hand style is recognized around the world and is both menacing and beautiful. Bred in Los Angeles, Mister Cartoon's art work can be seen on the arms of our time's most lauded musicians. His work is steeped in the East Los Angeles Chicano culture of low riders and graffiti.

Nike Sportswear chose Mister Cartoon as the American artist for the True Colors Artist Collaboration.. In this video Cartoon breaks down the creative process behind the logos and mascot he created. Nike Sportswear will be holding events to launch the collection in New York, Boston, and Chicago next week. Come out to see the collection and Mister Cartoon in action.

New York - Nike Sportswear @ 21 Mercer, April 27th at 8-11pm
Boston - Bodega Gallery, April 29th at 7p-11pm
Chicago – Six Points, May 1st at 7-11pm
Filmed and edited by 13th Witness. Music provided by Diz Gibran and Moonshine.
