Los ANGELES LAKERS UPDATES : INDIANA STILL CAN'T WIN at STAPLES

So the entire Laker squad pretty much got in on the action and played a nice game against the Pacers.  Jordan & Shannon got busy, Kobe had some highlights, 4 of 5 starters were in double digits and the crowd ended up with tacos.  Oh and on top of all that, Ron Artest's defense was huge once again as he held Granger to 9pts and came up with 5 steals.  The Lakers outscored the Pacers 38-17 in the fourth...I like the D we're playing.  Ron is earning his money now.

LOS ANGELES LAKERS UPDATES : THE CHAMPS SHOW UP AGAINST THE NUGGETS

A gritty game between the top two teams in the Western Conference and this is what a rivalry is all about...a playoff atmosphere, some ugly field goal percentages, and other players stepping up.  Kobe had one of his worst shooting nights and Pau was looking like a lost puppy for a good portion of the game...but the Lakers stepped it up when they needed to.  Lamar Odom and Ron Artest made big plays on both ends of the floor and Ron really showed why we picked him up as he became a bit of a pest for Carmelo, causing some turnovers as well as getting him to foul out in the late part of the game.

LOS ANGELES LAKERS UPDATES : LAKERS END THE ROAD SHOW IN MOTOWN

The Lake Show ended their lil road trip with an escape from New Jersey into Detroit.  Kobe dropped 28, Pau gave us a double double, and Ron returned to the Palace to beat up some Pistons, but in a basketball way.  He beat them up on defense and came away with some steals and picked apart the Pistons' defense with his passing.  Enjoy the highlights here.

LOS ANGELES LAKERS UPDATES : BI-COASTAL EDITION

NY Knicks come into the Staples Center off a loss...leave with another.  Everyone got in on the action and the final score is not indicative of the actual clinic that the Lakers put on the Knicks.  Nate Robinson and David Lee provided a few highlights for the NY team...but the Lakers ran simple plays in the third and played some good defense that opened up a 22pt lead.  Some laziness and bad turnovers in the fourth allowed the Knicks to get back in it...but the game was not to be lost.

LAKERS x ROCKETS GAME 2

Things gotta lil intense last night but on the real TV needed that for one, and two the Lakers had to send the message that they won't be punked by the Rockets in this series.  I give it to the Rockets they have some scrappy players (and dirty ones like Scola) but if the Lakers are gonna stand up to that and score at will, the Rockets confidence will dwindle, TRUST ME.  Scola's been dirty since I saw him play in the international games...I'm glad Fish laid him out...and it doesn't deserve an ejection if Rondo's face slap or Brad Miller didn't.  And I don't think Ron Artest should've been called for a foul or technical...but when you run up on a player after they split you apart, you're going to catch an ejection.  And if you don't hoop...don't argue any of this with me; you're automatically wrong.  Thanks to UNDFTD for the pics.

KOBE > ALL | LAKERS UPDATE

I've been in all these D Wade, LeBron, Kobe, MVP convos for the last 24+ hours and no matter what anyone says no one beats me in these arguments, lol.  So with that fresh on my mind I decided the first post today would be about THE LAKERS!!!!  Last night I turned on the game and I was not happy with what I was seeing...then Ron Artest woke up sleeping giant Kobe Bryant.  It was a wrap from that point forward...Kobe who had 6 in the first half went for 31 in the 2nd half.  Shot a great percentage by the way.  Oh and the Lakers won and stayed number 1 in the NBA.  KOBE 4 MVP (again) and KOBE 4 FINALS MVP.  THANKS!!!!  PS, if u didn't see the game please google or youtube the "trash talk" between Kobe & Ron, comedy.

Kobe - Something to Know and Ponder...

Something to ponder on this weekend, especially if you're a Laker, or maybe just a basketball fan. Last night Kobe kicked off his 2nd Annual children's basketball camp at LMU. As tradition goes, there is a "celebrity" scrimmage on the first night. Well last year I watched Kobe and OJ Mayo go at it..well until Kobe showed why strength is important in the NBA game. Anyways, Trevor Ariza was there...and later in the season he's a Laker. Well guess who decided to hoop with Kobe last night...Ron Artest & Carlos Boozer. Think about that and the trade rumors surrounding Ron and Carlos...don't wanna get ya hopes up...but think about it and tell me it doesn't seem interesting.
