adidas, footaction and West Coast icon, Snoop Dogg, gave fans a special treat during All-Star weekend with an exclusive red carpet event in Downtown Los Angeles.  The All-Star party showcased performances by talents Chris Brown, Busta Rhymes, Far East Movement, legendary DMC of Run DMC, Game, Warren G, Kurupt, DJ Khaled, Suga Free, Miguel, Kidz In The Hall and Kendré.

Check out Snoop Dogg rolling around on All Star Weekend.  Thursday he and Adidas locked down

the Sheikh store in the Westfield Culver City and then took it to nice location in Santa Monica to set up the 3 on 3 adiHoop tournament.  Special guests like DMC, Game, YG and Chris Brown showed up to be a part of it.  Wesley Johnson and Serge Ibaka of the NBA were also on hand.

Pretty entertaining clip of two rich and famous celebrities involved in a good game of 2K10 with some money on the line.  Sounds like what went down at Truth Studios last night.  Anyways the little video is funny...especially Snoop's reactions to things.  Snoop is busy today as I have another video from him dropping later.

KOBE vs LEBRON: ALL STAR EDITION

We won't talk about the debacle last night but I can say that Nike's campaign behind Kobe and Lebron have been the best branding I've seen Nike do as far as new shoes.  The retro shoes have been the best, some of the basketball shoes have been cool (HyperDunks) but the shoes for Kobe and Lebron this year I can say I honestly like both.  Usually if Kobe has a nice shoe the LeBron is ugly and vice versa.  This year I feel I really have to choose between the two at times.  The above are their all star shoes and Nike went in heavy on the design.  The fine details and vibrant colors make them standouts.  The LeBron's use an exceptionally bright shade of blue, it looks like it glows in the dark.  And with Kobe, red is already bright enough.  The woodgrain finishes are innovative.  Look for these to drop soon...

It was official yesterday and Shannon celebrated with a career high...but instead of gloating on the win we go yesterday over ORL, I decided to show you Shannon's dunk resume since arriving at the Lakers.

SUGE KNIGHT - KNOCKED OUT AGAIN!!!

So another All Star event and Suge gets assaulted...this time was more like the incident in LA last summer.  Basically Suge got into it with some people in Akon's camp at a private party and Suge was punched twice or so.  The man is charged "due to the severity of the victim's injuries".

NBA ALL STAR WEEKEND w/ MISSION G (VIDEO #2)

Kayla & Kristen just sent me another heads up about their NBA All Star Coverage in PHX.  In this video they catch up with D Wade and a NBA friends for his charity luncheon as well as Common at the 944 Event at the W in Phoenix.  Check out the full screen HD clip at the MissionG website and tell your other friends to peep it out as well.  Every hit the website gets will raise a dollar for charity.  Support ya'll, I mean Kayla & Kristen are based in Inglewood and are doing it large with Gatorade and the NBA.

NBA ALL STAR WEEKEND - WEST UP

Now take a good look not a glance, but a GOOD LOOK at these photos...think of all the articles before and after the All Star events, remember everything you saw on TV and let me know if you still think professional sports are not scripted in some fashion.  But all that matters is that picture of Kobe with a ring, because if he takes another one of those in the next 6-8 months, it means we brought home the NBA Championship.  And that wouldn't surprise me given the "nostalgia" they tried to create of the Lakers championship run.  Let's get it LA.  Oh and it's still West Up with Nate Robinson because that guy is a Pac-10 product.

Gatorade is making a presence at the All Star Weekend and will be documenting via video on their MissionG website. Every hit they get will raise $1 towards charity.
