Here’s a video of Buff and Diz working on a track called “The Best are Full of Love” with Cook Classics. The song was originally recorded by Shawn Jackson for The New Classics Mixtape, but wasn’t used. In a recent session, we decided to revive the track with new verses from Buff and Diz and release it. The song will be featured on the new Buff 1 mixtape as well as Shawn Jackson’s mixtape coming soon. Video by Greg the Dude.

FCC presents Mass Appeal 09 REMIX

So we've been hiding this lil BIG DEAL for awhile now as the FCC has posted photos of this collaboration on the nets over a month ago. It's made it's way onto HOT 97 in NY without hitting the download circuit, but now here it is. The video will be shot this weekend, and will be featured on the upcoming VIMBY New Classics mixtape. It is also now included in Convinced's re-release of Refreshing. This remix is of course by Convinced f. El Prez, Shawn Jackson & Tunji of Inverse. UNI of course had to get in on the action for the New Years Day west coast onslaught of music today...so you know I got it.  I would've posted earlier, but between NYE recovery and blogger being a BITCH, it goes up now.  Frickin' Shake & Meka already beat me to it, but that's FCC fam so it's all good.  Not sure if the track is California Soul or Cali Soul, it's getting around as a few names in the web world.  I know this though...1.) I dropped a track called California Soul on this site by an artist you all know by keeping it locked here, so I'm calling this one Cali Soul and 2.) this track features HOPE and Shawn Jackson (FCC stamped, u'll know why soon), is produced by Dibiase and will be on the upcoming mixtape: Before There Was Love with Mick Boogie.  Basically this mixtape will preclude the release of A Love Supreme.  The track here is very fly and showcases some great west coast talent.  I think 2009 will see alot of collaboration songs and projects from many of our west coast artists.  And that's a good thing.

Mass Appeal 09 - FCC Approved & Stamped

So last night I met up with fellow FCC members E Dub and Shake to witness, document and all around co-sign and approve this upcoming collabo by Los Angeles rappers Convinced, El Prez, Tunji & Shawn Jackson. An awesome experience went down at the LAUSD studio aka The Embassy. Poly and L4 oversaw the festivities and Chris Focus and Dale Danja came by to support. All and all, a good night. For now check that pic out and know that there are more photos and VIDEO coming soon. Courtesy of the FCC (I mean who else?!?!).
