WOODY f. CHARLES HAMILTON - RESET

You may ask why Charles Hamilton, well honestly he just happens to be the artist on the track leaked from a project by Woody.  If you don't know, Woody produced one of my favorite tracks on Animal Style: The Real World.  He has a project dropping which I'll let him explain to you:

In recent months, I have collaborated with a lot your favorite artists (Shawn Chrystopher, ADD-2, Charles Hamilton, XV, Nero, Show Tufli, ESSO, QuEST, El Prez, Frank Ramz, S-Preme + More...).  I have compiled songs from different projects and leaks into one body of work, also threw in an unreleased song I did with Charles Hamilton called "Reset".  Enjoy these songs over the weekend, I will be releasing the instrumentals early next week (along with a few bonus instrumentals).

So below is the Charles Hamilton track and you can go here to see the promo video.  Shouts to El Prez for sending this over.

Staying with the out of town support I bring to you the homie Hollywood Floss and his track that was just entered into the DJ Booth Freestyle series.  It is #163 of DJ Booth's popular series that other homies such as Shawn Chrystopher and El Prez have blessed.  Peep this track out.

Anyways he's dropping a video with Playboy Tre & Scar on MTV Jams Sunday, so as promo check out the trailer.  Then on Sunday be on the lookout for the video.  If you haven't already get that "Sean Falyon Be Everywhere".  Video directed by Diwang Valdez of Motion Family.

THE HUNDREDS x E-40 T-SHIRT

To celebrate the release of E-40's newest album, The Hundreds decided to make a t-shirt.  The shirt uses a "signage" theme to "post" some of 40's iconic slang.  Pretty dope idea...and it's about time more people give it up for E-40, he has created much of the slang that many of your favorite rappers all over have adopted.  These will drop at THSF tomorrow but if you're lucky you can probably call the store or order online.

DREKIDD - NEVER STOP (prod. HEART BEAT) (MUSIC DOWNLOAD)

A leak from the forthcoming "City of Champions" project.  Dre had this to say:

Basically the project's name is of course taken from my hometown Inglewood's nickname but we wanted to create a collection of songs that embodies the spirit of a champion.  This song "Never Stop" is a little sample of the feel of whats going on, previously it was a throwaway beat from my dude Serg (Heart Beat) but I loved the track and decided to use it.  I really just want people to hear this project and feel motivated to believe in themselves to go out there and get it, so when we say City of Champions we not just speakin on Inglewood but a mindstate we're moving with...Thanks once again, fam.

EAZEE STREET: 2 YEARS AND STILL GROWING...

Today marks the second year that Eazee Street has been official, I thank all of you that have helped it become what it is today.  Though the name has branched outside of Los Angeles the main goal is still to push all the talent our city has to offer not only to other 'Angelenos but to people all over the world.  And in turn to share the talent of other places with our city.  In the next couple months you should expect to see more features, original content and more...in other words, with two years in we're just getting started.

CLOSED SESSIONS in AUSTIN: VIDEO TRAILER f. BUN B, SHAWN CHRYSTOPHER & MORE (VIDEO)

I was here for a few of the sessions while we were in town for SXSW and I can tell you that Shawn Chrystopher, El Prez & DNEZ laid down a dope record with the Weathermen on the beat.  Here is some insight on the project itself, peep it:

"Behind great music is a great story."
The above quote is the true driving force behind Closed Sessions, the record label we launched with SoundScape Studios towards the end of 2009.  At Closed Sessions, we bring artists to our city and our studio, open up our production resources and address book, then just get out of their way as they do what they do: create great music.  Closed Sessions Vol. 1
featured new music and a glimpse into the lives and recording habits of Curren$y, Bun B, Skyzoo, Rhymefest, U-N-I, Emilio Rojas, Kidz In The Hall and many, many more.  Shortly following the release of the EP, we partnered up with Music Dealers and SSL, took our crew and Closed Sessions idea to Austin, Texas.  From March 17th-22nd, we ate, slept, and s**t music.  Literally.  Our mansion in Texas, became a 24-hour studio and creative outlet.  Artists passed in and out at all hours, from all regions, and all sub-genres within Hip Hop music.  In that time we were able to record 11 new songs, shoot a video for "Happiness Before Riches" and capture many great stories and moments.

The result of all our efforts will be the second release from our Closed Sessions label:
Closed Sessions Austin.  The release will take the form of an EP and a documentary accompanying the music and telling our story.  Below is the first taste of the Texas experience as the trailer for the forthcoming documentary.  It outlines our goals in going to Texas, a few of the problems we encountered along the way, and a glimpse as to the artists and people that made everything possible.

UNDRCRWN: SPRING 2010 "LOVE MEANS NOTHING"

Not only is UNDRCRWN the expert when it comes to hoop, but we also take pride in our knowledge and passion for all sports culture.
Spring 2010 is no different with the introduction of the "Love Means Nothing" Collection.

Departing from the Cali-Centric themes of Spring 1, the UNDRCRWN Spring Delivery 2  lookbook pays respect to some of the greatest sports rebels of the 80s and early 90s. The "Love Means Nothing" collection was shot in NYC and provides a solid juxtaposition of gritty street scenes, classic sports motifs and fashion-forward sportswear apparel.

Standout pieces include:

'Rebel Yell' T-Shirt + 'Rebel Yell' Organic Sweatshirt-  It ranks as one of the most memorable moments in sporting history. Back in 1981, a young frizzy haired, headband wearing, soon-to-be tennis legend broke down at Wimbledon. It was an  umpire's refusal to rule his serve that caused the immortal reaction "you cannot be serious."  We respect this legendary rebel as a dominant force whose reputation was built just as much on his personality as his athleticism.

'My Troop' Organic Sweatshirt-   A sports heritage inspired piece that takes cues from '90s activewear and mixes it  with organic textiles.
Love Means Nothing T-Shirt- In tennis love means zero, but translate it for today's world and it becomes a rebellious mantra.

As told to me via UNDRCRWN
