INTRODUCING: CROW WATCHES

While in Las Vegas for MAGIC I stumbled upon this watch line: Crow Watches.  Based in California they offer three main face styles with multicolored rubber bands (think Nixon) but the fun starts when you find out you can mix and match the faces.  Obviously the more watches you have the more interchanging you can do.  The orange watch would come with an orange face but if you get the green band you can switch the faces and wow some folks.  I believe they told me you can buy the bands separate to switch up things as well.  Check out the website right here.

Many people knew about the pack already but had no idea about the 3rd colorway pictured above.  These are clean and I'm more so liking these than the other colorways.  Not sure when these are dropping but the same retailers that would have the other colorways will be carrying these. UPDATE: these drop here on September 3rd aka THIS FRIDAY.  Only 300 pairs will be available.

L.A. STORIES: PETER KIM CEO of HUDSON JEANS

Not really a hip hop story but it's always cool seeing L.A. residents start from the bottom and create successful products.  From helping his parents' clothing line get out of debt to creating a multi-million dollar global brand this dude made some definite moves.  If you're interested in such stories peep the article in the LA Times.  Brought to my attention by Creative Rec.

APLUS ORIGINAL CONTENT: KENDRICK LAMAR (VIDEO)

This is dope, the homies at Aplus Filmz sit down with Kendrick Lamar and talk about the videos he shot with APlus as K. Dot, how they were never released and how he evolved into who we all know now as Kendrick Lamar.  These are the kind of interviews we need to see...not folks asking the same questions in different locations.

ART by JAQ DUTCH: 8.26.10... "ESQUIRE MAG COVER 1965"

Some words from Team Jaq Dutch:

Today's promotion image draws inspiration from the classic 1965 Esquire cover about women taking over in the workforce and the impact that it made on that time. We thought that with Jaq being a female artist that is bringing something refreshing to the Los Angeles art scene with big plans of taking over, this image seemed fitting. DO REMEMBER that her 1st Art Show goes down on 10/10/10. We will have food prepared by celebrity Chef Brian Hill and may other surprises in store so you mos def want to come out. The address is listed below once again.

New promo commercial next week.

BUFF1 - GHOSTING (MUSIC DOWNLOAD)

Ghosting is a project that gives listeners insight on the types of artists and music that inspires Buff1.  Giving himself one week to write original material, Buff1 created this free project to be released into the blogosphere.  Choosing songs that coincidentally had space for Buff1 to spit, none of the original songs have been edited.

Buff felt there were obvious similarities between the music on this project and one of his favorite Ghostface songs “Holla”; on which Ghost raps over the entire Delfonic’s song “La-La Means I Love You”.  Ghosting also happens to be a game where one person follows behind another, mimicking their movements as closely as possible, without being detected.

The Ghostface homage, combined with Buff1 trying his best to follow in the footsteps of the artists who inspired him to write this project, made the title obvious.  Lastly, don’t sleep on the exclusive bonus track “Better” produced by Slot-A.
