SNOOP DOGG PAYS TRIBUTE to NATE DOGG on HOT 97 (VIDEO)

While in New York to promote the new album Doggumentary, Snoop touches on his late friend Nate Dogg on Hot 97.  Peep it out.  I feel for Snoop right now, I'm sure it's the hardest thing in the world to run around and promote an album like everything is all good when one of your closest friends isn't in your life.  Not just a fallen music peer but someone you were close to outside the music.  I salute you Bigg Homie.

Yeah I was supposed to make it to this but it didn't happen.  My bro Miguel told me about it on the plane out there and I was all set to go plus the homie J. Cole was also on board as well as my girlfriend Melanie Fiona.  I swear Dom (Kennedy) was on this as well.  Well when you miss things you can always count on the internet to have something for you.  Shouts to the homie LowKey for posting this or I'd have missed the highlights...

NATE DOGG TRIBUTE at RESPECT THE WEST/VIBEHOUSESXSW (VIDEO

If you were wondering where I've been the last 2-3 weeks...it's been preparing for this show, dealing with the unforeseen passing of a West Coast legend and its effects on this show and then helping the team that made it all happen.  As sad as it was...this tribute was historical, not only for L.A. Hip Hop but for the west coast and Hip Hop in general.  Peep the video if you haven't and make sure to donate to the Nate Dogg Memorial Fund today.

TERRACE MARTIN & KENNETH CROUCH: NATE DOGG TRIBUTE (VIDEO)

"I am saddened by the lost of my friend, brother, and teacher nate dogg we will all miss him .I remember going to nates house in woodland hills (it was the 1st time I have been in a house of that size over looking the whole valley) and I was saying to my self "wow he got all of this off of music." At that time in my life I didn't know music could do all that lol. I sat in his studio and played him like 29 beats and he could tell that I was amazed by him-his home-and his studio...so he turned to me and said "would you like a house like this?" Of course I said yes. Then he asked me how much I charge for beats, I told him $2,500 and he said in order to get a crib like this you need to move up to $15,000 a beat. At that time 15k was a lot to me! About a year later through God's blessings I moved from moms crib to my own house on the same street as him. Around that that time we were working on the 213 album and I played Nate and Warren G the beat to the song that ended up being their "Joy Stick" single. Nate called me and asked how much I was going to charge them for the "Joy Stick" beat, I told him 15k...(why would I ever say that to him lol)...he then told me that the game he gave me to get my prices up to 15k actually costs 400k so let him get that beat and I will only owe him 385k lol. Nate if you hear me I'm siting in my car. On the side of the 118 in tears sending this to dev to post to let the world know that you were more than "nate dogg the hook man"...in my world you were and are a bleesing to and my kids and for that I will always love you and I will see you soon big bro and this small clip is for you Kenneth Crouch and I playing my favorite tune from you...neva leave me alone...." - Terrace Martin

ONE BAR & WESTERN EMPIRE - W.E. FAMILY vol. 1 (MUSIC DOWNLOAD)

It's a collab with the rest of my movement The Western Empire. The producer is a never heard west coast genius (the likes of D.J. Quik but Quik is like a God so I want compare the two), but he is known by the name of "Taymak". The Hooks are mainly song by a riverside soul/r&b vocalist name Senoj SoulMusic, and an Arizona underground Hip-Hop lyricist name Point Nine, Tag up with my self as our movement promotes unity, love, and music within the west coast. The project is titled W.E. Family Vol.1 (The W.E. meaning Western Empire) and as a group we deliver messages on life's experiences that we all can relate to. - One B.A.R.

ASHLEY OUTRAGEOUS: KENDRICK LAMAR LIVE at SXSW (VIDEO)

Ashley sent me some footage she got of the homie Kendrick from SXSW, enjoy:

Here's a recap of Kendrick Lamar’s performance at The Smoking Section & NahRight’s Grand Ole Party during SXSW 2011. He started his set with “The Heart Pt.2″ then flowed into more stand out tracks off of Overly Dedicated such as "P&P", "Look Out For Detox", "Michael Jordan", & more. His performance had to be one of my favorite throughout the whole weekend judging by his energy & passion in his rhymes. - Ashley

HARDKNOCK TV: MISTAH F.A.B. SXSW FREESTYLE (VIDEO)

While running around during Rap Camp ( aka SXSW), I ran into Mistah F.A.B out side of a pizza joint. Fab has to be one of the most underrated dudes ever. Every time Hardknock TV and I run up on him he never disappoints us with his incredible freestyle abilities. Peep video below of him going in for 4 minutes!

*Side Note* While rapping, a cop on the side of us kept trying to get us to moves because we were blocking the pizza joint. So what does Fab do? Incorporates him into his rap. #Funtimes

Shouts to Devi Dev on sending this over...

So some of ya'll may have the album already but Snoop decided he'd give this to the people.  It's my favorite off of the album so I'm honored to be the first to drop it to ya'll.  As you can see I also have an exclusive photo from the video shoot...taken by me.  Him and Wiz make hits...I can see this as a summer song.  Enjoy...I know I've been away for a minute but it'll make sense soon.  Sidenote, Snoop will be releasing new material everyday until the album drops.

21ST LONG BEACH STEP SHOW f/ KENDRÉ (PHOTO RECAP via EAZEE STREET)

Over the weekend I headed out to Long Beach to catch the 21st Annual Step Show.  I was only there for a limited time but I caught some photos of the little homie Kendré performing and hanging out.  I also ran into the Milwaukee homie DJ Willie Shakes while he was educating people on safe sex practices with his Terminator Brand "Wet" packs in hand.  Ran into the homies Nerd (who was hosting) and Von Jackson taking some pics (he was also sponsoring).  Oh and my cousin and some of my other good friends would be upset if I didn't post a pic of the Kappas doing their thing.  Cashmere has some other pics up you can check out here.  Heard a video recap is coming from them as well...
