Wednesday night you need to be here, with us...the good people you see along the bottom of the picture and of course the good people you see in the picture.  No excuses, just be there.  They go on at midnight...I suggest you be there by 11:30, come in grab me a drink and hang out.  Might have some giveaways for a lucky fan that night as well.

NEW VENUES: WESTSIDE TAVERN & THE LANDMARK THEATERS at WESTSIDE PAVILION

So it's not brand new but fairly new and to be honest I've been sleeping on the spot.  But a meeting brought me over to this spot and I was very much feeling it.  The new Landmark theater has plenty of state of the art things going on with the marquee boards, ticket kiosks, concession menu displays and more.  The layout is very modern and spacious and the entertainment factor almost surrounds you.  The lifestyle elements are very trendy with a lounge in the lobby that features a full bar and flatscreens so you can catch that game score and a drink before taking your date to see the popular movie choice of the evening.  You can even do the whole dinner and a movie experience if you eat at the Westside Tavern just below the theater.  With many choice entrees, appetizers, a full bar and decadent layout, you can impress your date and not feel rushed between the dinner and movie venues.  To check the menu go here and to see what movies are playing, go here.

CLIPSE x PICASO: 2x2 with EAZEE STREET & LANGUAGE ARTZ (PHOTO PREVIEW)

Another 2x2 video interview is on the way and just to let you know who it is I'm posting these pics.  We go with Eazee Street x Language Artz.com with their very own Picaso interviewing The Clipse.  Thanks to the homie D. Beck and my man Adib of 110 Ent. we were able to make this happen at Cabana Club in Hollywood two Fridays ago.  You'll have to wait for the video later this week to find out what we asked though.

NIKE BLAZER HI VINTAGE "STONE"

You may remember when Nike dropped these in red, blue and green...these were the Blazers that had the "worn' look.  Well Nike brought back around in this "Stone" colorway, and I think these look just as good as the more colorful ones.  Atmos has these but not sure who else will carry them.  Urban Outfitters definitely had the previous colorways so they may be a great place to start.

So the freestyle videos have been all over the net and the picks have already started some controversy but like it or not these are the picks.  I will say this, the actual artwork is much better than last year's.  So when you see this at your local newsstand...pick it up.  We have two folks from the city reppin' this time.

Stevie Crooks links up with The Topshelf Company (Truly Yours, $1000 Fit, Of All Time) to create a promo video for Stevie's new project he just dropped entitled "Diamonds & Guns".  This is a track off of it and lets you get an idea of what Stevie has going on his album.  Get that and watch this, in no particular order...just do both.

LOS ANGELES LAKERS UPDATES : THE CHAMPS SHOW UP AGAINST THE NUGGETS

A gritty game between the top two teams in the Western Conference and this is what a rivalry is all about...a playoff atmosphere, some ugly field goal percentages, and other players stepping up.  Kobe had one of his worst shooting nights and Pau was looking like a lost puppy for a good portion of the game...but the Lakers stepped it up when they needed to.  Lamar Odom and Ron Artest made big plays on both ends of the floor and Ron really showed why we picked him up as he became a bit of a pest for Carmelo, causing some turnovers as well as getting him to foul out in the late part of the game.

Here are some more photos courtesy of me from the release party for Animal Style! that went down last Wednesday.  THX, Hawdwerk, Jansport J, Basicali, Aja (of House of Pretty) Dale Danja, and more were in attendance to support El Prez and watch him rock with FCC fam DNEZ & Chris Focus.  NoOne (Dae One & Noni Spitz) rocked out as well.  I'll have footage of Dae One making a beat on the spot for Noni to freestyle to a bit later today.
