I've been slacking on the Throwback Thurzdays since the end of 2009, but we're back with it and what a way to start the Throwback Thurzday in 2010. MC Hammer, Pumps and A Bump...don't act like ya'll weren't Hammer fans at one point. Enjoy.
Polyester the Saint of LAUSD fame just dropped this track to me. I've know about it for some time, like before the LAUSD project actually dropped. He produced this track with Son of the Underground who is the son of Chopmaster J of Digital Underground. Check it out.
Some talent that Bad Lucc put me up on awhile ago and I actually posted one of their tracks last year. This is a new song featuring Marty James and is produced by THX. Word on the streets is that THX will be producing their next project entirely. Sounds good already and the track goes. Something to break away from the normal hip hop boom bap I supply you guys with. This is just cool music. Peep it.
Here are a couple pictures my lil homie Matthieux took during El Prez' set at the Leaders of the New Cool show this past Tuesday. Due to some technical difficulties Prez wasn't able to deliver the full set for a number of his fans that showed up but those who were there enjoyed the brief yet VERY LIVE set. Prez even brought out the band and had the crowd rocking to tracks from Animal Style that have yet to be released yet. If you want to see more pics from El Prez' set featuring the FCC simply go here. And expect to see more photos via Matthieux on the blog as he'll be working with Eazee Street on future projects. To see more of his prior work check out his site here.
We dropped the audio not too long ago and now CurT@!N$ is back with the video for it. Check it out.
Another day on the road, the Lake Show came to Indiana and left with a 19pt win. Kobe dropped 29 and thought of flirting with a triple double again and Bynum dropped 27 & 12. Pau and Lamar also picked up double doubles. The Lake Show dominated on all stats (points in the paint, shooting percentage, rebounds and free throws). Highlights up top.
I'm not into Gucci, Prada etc when it comes to my kicks...but these right here are clean to me. I'm really feeling the blue ones, maybe because there is no logo print. Both are simple and classy however, if you're feeling these check out Concepts.
Here’s some Studio footage of Nipsey, Curren$y & Wiz working on a record for curren$y’s “Smokey Robinson” mixtape. This is a preview of what we are about to do down at SXSW. The lineup’s coming soon but I promise it’s gonna be a crazy show!
Someone get me Johnny on the phone like 30min ago...
UNI leaks a track from the forthcoming "A Love Supreme 2.0". This is one of the new tracks that Thurz has been telling me about and it features Evidence. Prolly don't want to play this at work (or in front of moms) and make sure a bullet proof vest is worn...random shots are being fired.
The homie CurT@!N$ hooks up with VIMBY while here in the city. The talk about some things like the process of filming his video "Black Folks"...check it out.
A two part video for the West Coast Vet...part 1 in NY and part 2 right here in the hometown. Check it out.
In case you didn't see it and because it's important...WATCH!!!
Jerome D., Danny Williams and The Topshelf Company are back at it again. After dropping videos for cARTer, Dom Kennedy and one of my favorites Truly Yours in 2009, they hit us with a video for Kendrick Lamar. The video is a montage of She Needs Me and I Am. Check it out and if you haven't already, pick up that Kendrick Lamar EP.

I think CurT@!N$ has a clone...because I'll get these videos of activity in New York and everyone else but I'll run into him somewhere in the city at random. Like last night as he showed up to the Leaders of the New Cool show and rocked a quick but killer set. Check out his freestyle while at CDR.
Hip Hop Official just dropped a clip of their Artist of the Week and it's G.O.O.D. Music's own Big Sean. Get some insight as to who he's working with for his album, how he creates music (for mixtapes and albums) and more. Big Sean also announces his next mixtape, Finally Famous vol. 3, which will be a warm up to the album.

Short Film # 4: Babu demonstrates how to take a “quip”, plays some drums, checks out some ill records, talks to his friends on twitter, and gives you a sneak peek into his home studio.
I don't really do too many posts of Y-3 shoes but that doesn't mean they don't have some dope shoes. I thought these were pretty interesting so I decided to post these up. You can get these right over here if you're interested.
DJ Dave just dropped this behind the scenes for Kendrick Lamar's upcoming video for She Needs Me which will be directed by the homie Jerome D from the Topshelf Company. I see ya'll Danny. A small snippet of the video is at the end and Kendrick also takes a timeout to talk about Twitter...comedy.
My boy Sean dropped this record he's featured on to me this morning so I'm posting it up to show some love to our ATL homie via Philly. If you didn't know Sean Falyon BE EVERYWHERE, and he shows the L.A. scene plenty of love and support. This track is featured on Vandalyzm's new project: Vandalyzm is NOT the Father mixtape that dropped today.
So the big show is today but before the show you can actually fall through El Mercado and meet all the acts on the bill. Gift bags, free tickets and cupcakes from Rissa will be available. It's going down from 4-6 so come through for a good time then get ready to see the stage get shut down multiple times tonight.

We all know that when you get the cover of Complex you get an internet video to be blasted all over the internets. Enjoy as he touches on a range of subjects.
As part of their East Coast trip the Los Angeles Lakers visit President Barack Obama at the White House to be honored as the NBA Champs. Very historical as the Lakers are the first NBA team to meet our first African American president. A good look for the city, a good look for the team. Also of note is that no matter how cocky or conceited some may say Kobe is, it's very evident he was excited and humbled at the chance to meet Barack Obama and be honored by him. I'm trying to meet them both.
G Malone takes time out with OnSiteHipHop while attending Notch Entertainment's "The Cellar" event. G Malone updates the public with what he has coming soon. Check it out.
The homies of Broccoli City and Elevated LA got together to bring you this collab tee. Something organic and fly which is pretty much two concepts that both of these brands support so it's only right that they did such a thing. For more info go here.
Because at one time or another we were all into Legos, pretty interesting so check it out.
Another mixtape from the BX homie DJ Laser with artwork from the homie Matt. There are some familiar names on there so check it out.

I brought you up to date with B.Dot awhile ago, well here is a video of him in the booth putting in work. Shot by Aplus Filmz, check it out.
I thought I leaked this already but I see I didn't...it's probably that I've had this song bumping on my iTunes for some time. The thing about this song, I heard Shawn's version before I ever heard Rihanna's. I'll stick to this one, sorry Ri Ri. Enjoy, Inglewood up to all my 'Wood representers out there.
