Dom dropped this last week and I knew it was coming and was waiting so I could actually drop it.  But getting everything ready for the in-store I did last weekend kept me away from my computer every time I  thought I had a moment to post it up.  So without further adieu here is his newest project "From the Westside with Love".  Though there is production from a number of folks the album definitely has a cohesive sound.  Check it out and let Dom know how you're feeling about it here.  Leimert Park whattup?

Speaking of Shawn Chrys...

As my album "Being Cool Doesn't Pay The Bills" drops this Monday, March 29th, I wanted to share a no DJ version of my record with Shawn Chrystopher, El Prez and J The S. The track is entitled "Shootin' Cops" and features J on the hook with Shawn starting off the record with one of my favorite verses from him. This is basically my IM KING anthem as all four of us have connections to the brand.

"Being Cool Doesn't Pay The Bills" will be made available by DJBooth.net and IMKING.com on March 29th and features Donny Goines, Reks, Sene, Co$$, Shawn Jackson and more. The 21 track LP is mixed by DJ RTC of Ruby Hornet & Closed Sessions with art by UNKLE LUC and mastering by Hazardis Sounds.

THROWBACK THURZDAYS | CRAIG MACK - FLAVA IN YA EAR RMX (MUSIC VIDEO)

Another Thursday, another Thurzday pick...I know you all remember this remix.  This is one of the best posse cuts of all time and really launched Puff aka Diddy to the forefront of the REMIX game.  Enjoy.  This was also the best verse Craig Mack EVER kicked in his life and short lived weak career.

GAME TALKS PRODUCTION on R.E.D. ALBUM

“I feel great about this album,” he said recently after going over tracks at Dr. Dre’s house. “It’s back full-force Aftermath and I’m conjoined with Star Trak.” (Pharrell Williams is one of the LP’s executive producers.) “I got this colorful movement over here where it’s beautiful music on this side [with Star Trak] — then when I need to go dark or super grown and sexy, I got Dre over here. The combination is crazy — mixed in with a Cool & Dre track and RZA track and all the sh– I been doing. The only person I’m upset I didn’t work with on this album is DJ Premier. I feel his sh– would have been perfect for this all-star producer cast that I have. One Premier track would have did me just fine. I would have murdered that sh–. But we ain’t get it in, ’cause he was doing a whole bunch of sh– for Christina Aguilera. I’m just Game. So I gotta just wait for the next album.”

RUBY HORNET TV ep.7 - J. COLE (VIDEO)

It sucks that I know so much about the background of this interview and what Ruby Hornet was doing in Austin for SXSW, BUT I can't tell ya'll anything.  For now just enjoy the clip.  Sidenote: who remembers when I showed J. Cole on this site as he did his first LA show with UNI at LMU???  And remember when I said Eazee Street would be supporting him from here on out...?  Yeah so tell me how many blogs were down with J. Cole before the Roc Nation deal...

DJ RTC of RubyHornet.com sits down with J. Cole while for an in-depth interview in the Lone Star state. J. Cole talks about how life has changed since a year ago, how the response has gone from hype to props, and distinguishing himself from other up and coming artists without being a jerk. Check it out.
