As you know Shawn will be dropping this album on August 11th...below is the track list and the explanation behind the artwork. Peep it out:

1. ...And I Present
2. On Stage
3. Believer
4. Position
5. Heartbreaker (feat. Chris Focus)
6. Fresh Prince
7. [Untitled]
8. You're Beautiful at Night
9. Lose Your Mind
10. Cloud 9
11. A Letter to an Angel (feat. Mateo)

All Songs produced by Shawn Chrystopher and Zaire Koalo

Explanation of the artwork:

I'm a person who loves to take chances, loves tight-roping the line between genius and insanity; the artwork for my debut album is no different. I felt, in hip hop, we were playing things a little too safe with our album artwork, scared of the backlash we would get and ultimately not being true to ourselves. I'm here to change that. The "A City With No Seasons" artwork is inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat because his art was debated about the most on whether or not it is real art because it looks 'elementary.'

I honestly believe that there is no such thing as wrong, or bad art; that is difference between art and math. If I say 2+2=5 I'm wrong, but because my lines aren't straight and my coloring isn't inside the lines my art isn't art? Art is all about expressing yourself, and no one can ever say that you are expressing yourself incorrectly.

It's ok to say you don't understand; what's not ok is to say that it's wrong.

Looks like Eazee Street's resident artist made the final cut. Dope. I'm really anticipating Shawn's album though. I've heard bits and pieces of it but I know hearing it as a whole will be quite the experience. Props out to Shawn Chrys...keep it up fam.

NIKE SB P-ROD COMMERCIAL 3 (EXTENDED VERSION) feat. KOBE BRYANT & ERICK KOSTON

P. Rod has commercials going and here is an extended version of it. Filmed on the streets of Los Angeles (you may recognize some of the places) as well as my alma mater of LMU, where he passes by Kobe Bryant. Ice Cube also passes through and lends a well placed cameo. Enjoy. Check some of the stills and other versions of the commercial right here.

C'EST LA VIE & THE LIPSTICK DIARIES x WEEKEND WARRIORS x AJA (MY GIRLS)

So my best friend Aja did a makeup job for a photoshoot for an upcoming feature on some of the dope female bloggers/fashion forward "bawses" this side of the coast. The photoshoot features ladies from C'est La Vie, The Lipstick Diaries and my lady pals of Weekend Warriors. I heard it was fun (of course Aja tells me last minute I should've come by) and Preston created some ill visuals. As I twittered before I'm very protective of Aja, Desi & Bri...so don't get any ideas after looking at these pics. I don't know what to do about this new 'sexy' looks Bri & Desi been talkin' about lately, but they my people so I support. Get em girls...haha.

THROWBACK THURZDAYS | TONITE - DJ QUIK

As you know it's Thursday, and that means Thurzday is gonna give us a throwback hit. Well in tune with C-San (another Inglewood emcee) dropping an entire mixtape in ode to the west coast icon DJ Quik, Thurz picks Tonite as this Thursday's choice. If you haven't get that A Love Supreme, Land of the Kings and C-San's I Wanna Work With Quik, ASAP.

THIS WEEKEND - LONG BEACH CRAWFISH FESTIVAL

This weekend, in Long Beach...me and my Creole upbringing will get exposed. All this food is making me hungry...but I'll be purchasing my tickets here as you should. It's a whole fest, as in food vendors, arts and crafts vendors and live entertainment. Do something different for a change instead of hitting the club, or walkin down melrose so you can buy the same stuff everyone else is wearing. I'm thinking if anyone meets me here this weekend I may give them a free shirt. Hmmmmmmm.

JESSICA BIEL TO SING AT HOLLYWOOD BOWL THIS WEEKEND

The awesomeness that I like to call Jessica Biel, some of you recognize her as Justin Timberlake's most recent lady pal, will be singing this weekend at Hollywood Bowl. I have plenty of friends that check out the concerts there, so if you are Jessica fans go support her in Guys and Dolls. It will run from July 31st to August 2nd. Most likely she'll be dressed closer to the outfit up top, but some of you GUYS out there may only recognize Jessica from photos like the one above (smh).

UNDRCRWN - M.V.PENNY tee

The first Nike baller with a puppet was Penny Hardaway...he was that next dude before the strange injury. He made Shaq look a lot better and if egos (mainly Shaq's) didn't get in the way, who's to say that Shaq & Penny couldn't have built a dynasty. Anyways, Undercrown as always recognizes greatness and drops this tee. The "other puppet" is Jay-Z, if you don't know why he's on the shirt...read the quote on the back.

IM KING x SHAWN CHRYSTOPHER - LOSE YOUR MIND TEE

Inglewood's own Shawn Chrys as you know will be releasing A City With No Seasons on August 11th and in tune with that release IM KING will drop three t-shirts based off of the album. The first release is based off of the new single: Lose Your Mind. Several stores have picked it up already...if you want one go here.

SUPRA TK SOCIETY : X-GAMES EDITION COLORWAYS

I'm not really a fan of Supra's nor TK's signature shoe but I have seen some interesting models out there. These above are easily the 'loudest' and very attention getting. These are tagged as the X-Games editions so I'm sure fans will want to get their hands on these. If TK sent those neon green ones, I'm sure I'd wear them...I definitely have some gear to match.

So with the Flip cam making all sorts of headway with personal video and quick integration with social networking giants like YouTube and Facebook, film giant Kodak decided they needed a piece of the market. For about the same price ($179) you can record 1080 HP among a zoo of other features and directly upload to YouTube and Facebook. Check it out here and you can pre-order here.

THE HUNDREDS x BROOKLYN PROJECTS: THE PASADENA T-SHIRT

Never been a Hundreds wearer...but the details of this shirt thanks to the Brooklyn Projects collab...I may need to head over and pick up a blue tee. The catch: the black and white tees are only going have 144 of each and will be available Aug 2nd at the opening of the new Pasadena store. If you peep the details the roses are meshed into the "Adam Bomb". The blue tee won't drop right away but will only be available through the Hundreds. I need that!!! The new store is at 1776 E. Colorado Blvd.

J. Cole guests on DJ Enuff's show with XV. You know we support J. Cole over here, so I post up a few things here and there to keep his LA fans in the loop. In related news, DJ Enuff won the DJ ICON Award at the Latin Urban Mixx Awards this past Thursday. A commemorative video link was sent to me but the link is down. Congrats to DJ Enuff (Heavy Hitters).

G.I. JOE (MOVIE TRAILER #11)

I think if all the trailers looked like this I would've been way more excited to see this from jump...you can tell the editing for this trailer is different than the editing for the 10 previous...probably let the intern do it. In all seriousness it looks like they took a note or two from the way Transformers did their trailers this summer. I think I'll go see this next week...why not?

TRON LEGACY TRAILER

So I remember Tron from back in my youth, and I'm sure a good amount of people remember the movie, mentions of the movie, references to the movie, etc...but after seeing this trailer I'm feeling like I'm going to check this latest one out. The visuals are dope and it looks like Disney will allow you to view in 3D at certain theaters. This dropped right in time for Comic-Con which ended yesterday. Peep it out.

MULLAGE - TRICK'N (directed by ETHAN LADER)

Mullage "Trick'n" Director: Ethan Lader from ethandirector on Vimeo.

Not a fan of the song or the subject matter at all...but the homie Ethan Lader did direct it an it debuted as #9 on MTV's Sucker Free Countdown. It's also getting regular play on the all the urban music video channels, so I'm posting so you can at least see Ethan's work. Check out his website and see videos he did for J*Davey, Pac Div, Rob Roy and more.

INSA x NIKE SPORTSWEAR: LOOKING FOR LOVE EXHIBITION (AJA LOOK)

It's been a minute since I've posted any of INSA's latest works, shows, etc...then over the weekend I discovered this. So it looks like INSA had a new show with none other than Nike. Here is the description straight from HighSnobiety:

In 7 days, INSA ran the city of east London, painting 35 pieces on the route of Charlie Dark’s map for Nike Sportswear’s IAM1 Journey project. On July 16th, Nike Sportswear played host to INSA’s major London solo show “Looking For Love In All The Wrong Places,” where each of the 35 hand painted pieces were on display. The show also featured a 6 ft x 6 ft chrome inverted heart as the centerpiece, a huge pair of legs wearing Air Max 1 heels as the entrance to the show, a painted courtyard, limited edition screen prints (in both pink and mirror editions) and a super rare INSA x Nike t-shirt. People interested in buying prints/pieces from the show can email: sales@protein.co.uk or phone direct on +44 (0) 20 7613 3021.
