During a star-studded Complex Magazine event, held at Los Angeles' upscale venue MyHouse, Quddus Philippe hit the red carpet to not only introduce the world to recording artist Shawn Chrystopher, but to announce his plans to make his directorial debut of a two part mini-movie of Mr. Chrystopher's compositions "Heartbreaker" and "Believer."
"Heartbreaker" was world premiered by Los Angeles' own Power 106 FM during their "New @ 2" segment a few weeks ago, and was also featured on the homepages of internet powerhouses Imeem.com and Myspace.com. "Heartbreaker is one of those records that everyone can relate to," says Shawn Chrystopher. "No matter who you are, you've gone through heart break. Its a human record because we, as humans, can understand and comprehend the emotion behind a song like this."
Not to be overshadowed, the video for Shawn's next official single "Believer" will continue where "Heartbreaker" leaves off; giving the audience a chance to truly understand the events that took place in Chrystopher's life to aid the orchestrations. "I'm excited and honored for this opportunity," Shawn states. "Quddus and I are friends before anything but to go into these two videos with someone who's experienced in this industry like he is and who shares the same vision as I do artistically is truly a blessing. The world will be amazed."
Look for the videos to drop in January 2010.
