YOUNG SCOLLA x KICKSTARTER.COM
This is a dope and unique idea, please peep:
Kickstarter.com is a new way to fund creative ideas and ambitious endeavors. We just launched our Kickstarter campaign to raise $4,000 in 60 days, in hopes of releasing a transcendent album with Young Scolla.
We are offering a number of unique rewards, in exchange for pledges to support the album, which includes everything from a high five to an exclusive release party in your home town.
We are attempting to do something fairly unique in independent hip-hop. To date, we haven't seen the hip-hop community embrace, or even really attempt, to use crowd funding as a platform to create an album.
We see Kickstarter as an opportunity to create a high-quality album without the necessity of a label or sponsorship. With music sales down and the industry in transition, it is imperative for artists to think of new and creative ways to fund projects. High quality - mixed and mastered - music takes time and money to create, which is why many artists sacrifice quality for quantity. If successful, we also hope to show other independent hip-hop artists an alternative path to create music, and ideally make a living.
We will be capturing the creative process and releasing videos, songs and additional content over the next 60 days. We have till March 12th to raise $4,000...Stay tuned and support HERE.
If you can't, or don't want to donate, but want to contribute to the album...spread the word, tweet, email or tell a friend. Every bit helps.
